  • Publication number: 20170084203
Abstract: Embodiments of this invention generally relate to three dimensional head mounted displays (HMD) with stereo cameras that could be used as a vision platform for applications that modify the camera images to benefit people who suffer from eye diseases, brain trauma, and brain diseases. Embodiments take images from stereo cameras that are integrated into a head mounted display. Images generated by the stereo cameras are routed through an external image processing system that is worn by the goggle wearer before they are sent back to the goggle's three dimensional stereo displays. The image processor also uses voice commands that reconfigure the goggle vision system to process images based on a predefined organization for a specific activity.

  • Patent number: 9592800
Abstract: Various embodiments of a towing vehicle controller and methods for brake control of a towed vehicle are provided. A towing vehicle controller includes an input for receiving a load signal indicative of a load of a towed and towing vehicle combination; an input for receiving a stability signal indicative of at least one of a yaw rate, a steering angle, and a lateral acceleration of the towing vehicle; and an input for receiving a deceleration signal indicative of an automated deceleration request. Control logic is capable of determining a comparison value prior to receiving the deceleration signal and after receiving the load signal and the stability signal, wherein the determination of the comparison value is based on the load signal and the stability signal. After the deceleration signal is received, the control logic determines a brake control transmission signal based on the deceleration signal and the comparison value.

  • Patent number: 9593478
Abstract: Methods and apparatus facilitate the construction of a building using prefabricated building units, each having a horizontal upper exterior surface and a plurality of vertical wall surfaces, wherein at least some of the prefabricated building units have at least one hollow column formwork structure. The prefabricated building units are lowered onto a pre-existing base at a construction site. A first story of the building is created by arranging a plurality of the prefabricated building units adjacent to each other on the base. Structural bearing material is applied to fill the hollow column formwork structures to create structural columns connected to the structural deck. Structural bearing material is applied to the horizontal upper exterior surfaces of the adjacent prefabricated building units to create a single structural deck over the prefabricated building units.
