Abstract: Collapsible portable self-supporting shelter structures having from at least two component quad sections to seven or more component quad sections, which joined end to end form the width of the structure; and, said entire component sections optionally being joined side to side form a desired depth of the portable shelter. The resulting structure is a collapsible self-supporting prefabricated deployable shelter having a clear span interior without supporting columns. Some versions of the collapsible portable self-supporting shelter structure due to its configuration may optionally contain a floating hub which is a top element extending above the structure's standard exterior matrix frame. The floating hub forms a high pitch atop the shelter, which high pitch causes the fabric, which covers the matrix frame, to be maintained in a taut downward-sloping condition over the shelter top surface so no rain or snow collects in the fabric at the top of the shelter.
Abstract: A method for limiting blade pitch is provided. The method includes providing a brake assembly that is actuatable to limit blade pitch, providing a limit stop assembly including a stop wheel and a traveler movable relative to the stop wheel, and coupling the limit stop assembly to the brake assembly such that the limit stop assembly actuates the brake assembly when the traveler engages the stop wheel.
Abstract: A tough, water-proof building system which provides walls and wall sections for use on upright walls, ceilings, and floors, and appurtenances, as well as accessories which make such structures more versatile. The walls and wall sections can be designed to have vertical and horizontal strengths sufficient to be used in place of concrete, as an engineered solution, both above grade and below-grade, including in severe weather conditions. A wall section has inner and outer layers, and structurally reinforcing members which extend, typically as a layer and/or stud, the full height of the wall section, at spaced locations along the length of the wall section. The spaces between the structurally reinforcing members are optionally filled with rigid foam. An optional reinforcing stud is attached to, or overlaid by, the inner layer, and extends inwardly into the building from what is otherwise the inner surface of the wall or wall section.

Abstract: A handheld controller for filling wine barrels with wine or other liquid containers with liquid includes a pressure sensor and a removable dip tube. The dip tube is inserted in the wine barrel and a pressure sensor coupled to the dip tube measures a pressure in the dip tube. The measured pressure corresponds to a liquid level in the wine barrel. The handheld controller is also coupled to a pump for filling the wine barrel with wine. The pressure sensor may be calibrated to detect a desired fill level of the wine barrel. A microprocessor in the handheld controller monitors the measured pressure of the dip tube and shuts off the pump when the measured pressure reaches the calibrated pressure. The handheld controller improves throughput of filling wine barrels and reduces or eliminates overfill of wine barrels, thereby reducing unsanitary or hazardous conditions.
