Patent number: 7342919Abstract: An Internet Call Waiting—Voice over Internet Protocol (ICW-VOIP) service that uses a service control point and service node of a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), acting as a gatekeeper and bridge respectively, to enable ICW subscribers to answer telephone calls during an internet session without having to disconnect internet access. The primary network components of the ICW-VOIP service comprise a proxy firewall, a service node, and a gateway. When a PSTN call is placed to a subscriber whose line is being used for internet access, the service control point accesses the subscriber's internet address from a database and transmits a message over the internet to the subscriber giving the subscriber the option to accept the call as a VOIP call. Once accepted, the subscriber places an H.323 call through the gateway to the service node. The service control point also forwards the PSTN call to the service node. Using bridging information, the service node matches the subscriber H.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2003Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Assignee: Phase Systems LLCInventors: Li Zhang, Jeffrey P. Patent number: 7343192Abstract: A method is disclosed for analyzing body composition. The method includes inducing a static magnetic field in the body. The static magnetic field has a known distribution along a longitudinal axis of the body. A radio frequency magnetic field is induced in the body. The radio frequency and a bandwidth thereof are selected to induce nuclear magnetic resonance phenomena in a selected axial segment along the body. Nuclear magnetic resonance phenomena are from the selected axial segment. Composition is determined from the magnetic resonance signals. The measurement may be repeated in different axial segments by changing the static field amplitude or a frequency of the RF magnetic field. In some embodiments, a gradient field is superimposed over the static field.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2003Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Assignee: Echo Medical Systems, LLCInventors: Arcady Reiderman, Gersh Z. Patent number: 7333210Abstract: A method and system for controlling the wavelength of light emitted by a tunable laser. The system includes a wavelength tuner that provides information of a desired wavelength; a coupler for tapping a portion of the light from the tunable laser; and an apparatus for measuring the actual wavelength of the light. The apparatus takes the portion of the light as an input signal and splits the input signal into two beams that are directed through two paths of different optical lengths. Then, the two beams are interfered with each other in order to form a fringe pattern at an observation plane, where the fringe pattern is detected and analyzed to determine the wavelength of the light. A processor compares the difference between the desired and determined wavelengths, and sends a tuning signal to the tunable laser forming a feedback control of the tunable laser.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2005Date of Patent: February 19, 2008Assignee: Fizeau Electro-Optic Systems, LLCInventors: James J.
