  • Publication number: 20120312256
Abstract: A slide-valve device sliding in a predetermined axial direction, includes a valve body having two chambers, the first chamber including a lateral fluid-intake opening and a fluid-outlet opening provided with a normally closed, conditionally opening plug device, the second chamber including first and second lateral fluid-outlet openings, mutually offset in the axial direction. Two inner regions of the second chamber are arranged contiguously in the axial direction and communicate with one another via an opening or an internal passage, and in that the sliding drawer includes a first plug member suitable for selectively plugging the communication opening or the internal communication passage or opening between the two regions and a second plugging member suitable for preventing fluid communication between the second lateral fluid-outlet opening of the second chamber and a first region of the second chamber, within a predetermined range of translation of the sliding drawer.

  • Publication number: 20120298076
Abstract: A functional module integrates a distributor with a plenum and several pipes that form a common attachment and connection plate, a fuel rail, and a holding part for ensuring the locking in position of the fuel rail. The functional module (1) is characterized in that it consists of an interlocked and nested arrangement that includes the distributor (2), the fuel rail (7), and the holding part (9), with the fuel rail (7) being held between the holding part (9) and the distributor (2), and in that the holding part (9) and the distributor form by cooperation a longitudinal receiving housing with the possibility of locking the fuel rail (7) whose introduction opening is defined between an arrangement of feet (10) of the holding part (9) and the plate (5) of the pipes (4).

  • Patent number: 8191526
Abstract: A method of modifying an air intake manifold to control air intake runners. The method includes the steps of providing a cartridge including a plurality of compartments, each spaced apart to define a groove therebetween, snap-fitting a bushing carrier having a rotatable bushing into each of the grooves, positioning a flap having a slot over each of the compartments, inserting a shaft through each slot and each bushing thereby rotatably retaining each of the flaps within one of the plurality of compartments, positioning the cartridge over the air intake manifold so that each of the plurality of compartments is substantially axially aligned with one of the air intake runners, and removably connecting the cartridge with the air intake manifold.

  • Patent number: 8181620
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an intake manifold assembly that comprises a first outer covering, a second outer covering connected to the first outer covering that together define a chamber having an intake port, and a flow channel insert. The second outer covering has an outlet port positioned within its interior surface and the flow channel insert is nestingly connected to the outlet port with the rest of the flow channel insert received within the chamber. The flow channel insert being a single piece that defines a channel having a first end and a second end.

  • Patent number: 7392826
Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve device for regulating a fluid, particularly a gaseous fluid, in a conduit portion, comprising a valve body fixed to a support spindle extending transversely into said portion and mounted with the ability to rotate therein, said conduit portion comprising, on either side of said spindle, opposing internal steps forming two bearing surface portions for corresponding edge parts of said valve body, in the closure position thereof, each step extending substantially over approximately half of the internal circumference of the conduit portion in the region of the mounting position of the support spindle.

  • Patent number: 7082902
Abstract: A pump/valve assembly forming part of a circuit for circulating a liquid fluid has a pump and a proportional-control valve unit (2) in series with the pump. The valve unit (2) has a valve (3), an electrical actuator (4) and a position sensor (5) which are fixed to a movable member (3?) sealing the valve (3) for displacement therewith, and control means (6) controlling the actuator (4) according to the position of the movable member (3?) indicated by the sensor (5) and a reference signal. The valve unit (2) is subjected to a procedure indexing the position of the movable member (3?) and setting parameters for the control means (6) at the beginning of each new operating cycle of the assembly, and the pump (1) is rotated at a constant speed selected from a limited number of predetermined speeds at least during part of each operating cycle.
