  • Patent number: 11942193
Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for managing patients of knee surgeries. A pre-operative patient questionnaire user interface is associated with a future knee operation of the patient. Patient input data is indicative of answers of a patient in relation to the pre-operative patient questionnaire. A processor of a computer system evaluates a statistical model to determine a predicted satisfaction value indicative of satisfaction of the patient with the future knee operation. The statistical model comprises nodes stored on data memory representing the patient input data and the predicted satisfaction value, and edges stored on data memory between the nodes representing conditional dependencies between the patient input data and the predicted satisfaction value. The processor then generates an electronic document comprising a surgeon report associated with the future knee operation to indicate to the surgeon the predicted satisfaction value.

  • Patent number: 11931050
Abstract: This disclosure relates to surgical instruments for alignment of bone cuts during surgeries on joints and in particular, during total replacement of joints. The surgical instrument comprises a contact surface shaped to fit a prepared end of the first bone of the joint and an artificial articular surface that imitates the native articular surface of the first bone that has been removed by the preparation of the first bone. The artificial articular surface is pivotable in relation to the surgical instrument. The instrument can be fitted onto the prepared bone and coronal balancing can be performed. After fixing a further instrument to the second bone the joint can be balanced in flexion. At the optimal flexion angle, the slope and the cutting depth can be adjusted to achieve alignment. The further instrument is then used as a guide for cutting the second bone at the resulting cutting depth, slope and varus/valgus angle.

  • Patent number: 11836627
Abstract: Determining that a motor vehicle driver is using a mobile device while driving a motor vehicle. Multiple images of a driver of a motor vehicle are captured through a side window of the motor vehicle. Positive images show a driver using a mobile device while driving a motor vehicle. Negative images show a driver not using a mobile device while driving a motor vehicle. Multiple training images are selected from both the positive images and the negative images. The selected training images and respective labels, indicating that the selected training images are positive images or negative images, are input to a machine (e.g. Convolutional Neural Network, (CNN)). The CNN is trained to classify that a test image, captured through a side window of a motor vehicle, shows a driver using a mobile device while driving the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11803976
Abstract: Measuring speed of a vehicle in a road environment. During calibration, multiple images are captured of a calibration vehicle traveling at a known ground speed. A calibration image feature is located in the image of the calibration vehicle. An optical flow of the calibration image feature is computed to determine a model between an image speed of the calibration image feature and the known ground speed of the calibration vehicle. During speed measurement, multiple images are captured of a target vehicle traveling along a road surface at unknown ground speed. A target image feature may be located in an image of the target vehicle. An image speed may be computed of the target image feature. The model may be applied to determine the ground speed of the target vehicle from the image speed of the target image feature.

  • Publication number: 20230111801
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a computer assistant for a surgeon with a graphical representation of a dynamic knee score for a knee surgery. A processor receives computer tomography data of a current patient's knee and user input from the surgeon, the user input comprises an identifier of a knee implant. The processor then retrieves multiple machine learning model parameters indicative of a machine learning performed on historical patient records. For multiple values of a rotation of the tibial component and a slope of the tibial component the processor configures a post-operative kinematic model performs a kinematic simulation and estimates a current patient outcome by applying the machine learning model. Finally, the processor generates a shaded surface spanning the multiple values of a rotation of the tibial component and a slope of the tibial component on a user interface to graphically represent the estimated current patient outcome for each of the rotation and slope.
