  • Patent number: 11485531
Abstract: A machine for packaging soft products, including a conveyor defining a ring-shaped path having an active linear lower branch facing a feed plane and a non-active linear upper branch Each of a plurality of carriages supports a tooth, projecting towards the feed plane during the passage on the lower branch. A transfer device moves one group of products at a time, with a corresponding sheet of wrapping material folded around the group, towards the feed plane and to a receiving compartment defined by a first and a second tooth, along a second direction transversal to a first direction. Along the lower linear branch there are a number of teeth equal to the number of groups positioned or arrived on the feed plane. Each tooth is configured to define simultaneously a pushing tooth and a tooth containment when the tooth is interposed between two groups along the feed plane.

  • Patent number: 7131246
Abstract: An apparatus for wrapping groups of rolls of products with a sheet of film comprises a station for packaging and moving, with a stepping motion, in a predetermined direction, a succession of groups of products wrapped in a sheet of film, having an open front side defined by two opposite flaps, and means for closing the open side comprising a unit consisting of: two pairs of mobile elements, arranged side by side in said direction, to allow the flaps of film of the two groups of products arranged one after another to be brought together and closed; first movement means for the unit, allowing synchronized movement of the two pairs of elements, respectively, in the same direction as the groups, for one group feed step, bringing together and closing the flaps, and a movement opposite to said direction over a distance equal to the distance previously traveled, simultaneously with a feed step of the groups to be packaged, so as to position the unit at two further and subsequent groups of products to be closed.

  • Patent number: 6889486
Abstract: In a machine for the production of packs of rolls of paper, comprising a supporting surface designed to lift the rolls of paper, arranged in two or more rows, towards a zone in which there is a sheet of plastic film, in particular polyethylene, to be wrapped around the rolls to form the pack, the sheet is closed on the lower side of the pack by initiating a process for activating sheet horizontal flat folders, suitably combined with the return stroke of the two parts of which the supporting surface consists. The process allows correct closing of the two flaps of plastic film on the lower side of the pack, guaranteeing the stability of the configuration of the various rows of rolls.

  • Patent number: 6688082
Abstract: A method for stopping and restarting an automatic machine (1) for wrapping products (2), in particular rolls of toilet or kitchen paper, in a collective pack (3) using a packaging film (4a) unwound from a first reel (31a). The method comprises the following automatic sequence of steps: reducing the speed of the machine (1); and stopping the feeding of the products (2) and of the film (4a) at suitably synchronized intervals from each other relative to the processing of the products (2). The method subsequently comprising the steps of: substituting the first reel (31a) of the film (4a) with a second reel (31b); loading the film (4b) on the second reel into feed means (33, 10 34). Restarting the machine (1) at reduced speed and thereby automatically activating the following sequence of steps: unwinding and positionally centering the film (4b); and restarting the feeding of the products (2) and of the film (4a) at suitably synchronized intervals from each other relative to the products.

  • Publication number: 20030230051
Abstract: A method for the production of packs of rolls of paper, in which the rolls are collectively wrapped with a sheet of plastic film which is folded and sealed, allows a rational method of closing one front surface of packs and the simultaneous automatic production of an opening at the surface for the pack handle. An apparatus for implementing the method comprises suction plates, which move vertically in opposite directions to join end flaps of the sheet of plastic film, closing the pack. The flaps are joined with the aid of means designed to neatly arrange the material of the side surface of the sheet between the flaps inside the flaps as they are joined. Further means seal the two flaps and make a pack handle opening.

  • Patent number: 6067780
Abstract: An automatic packaging machine for packaging products into packs comprises: a wrapper forming line along which there is a succession of at least three operating stations positioned above a sliding surface along which the products are fed with a stepping motion by mobile pusher elements. The forming line co-operates with a lift located below the product sliding surface and vertically and alternately mobile between a lowered level, at which it receives products on its loading table, and a raised level, at which it places the products on the sliding surface of the forming line, feeding them between the pusher elements with a sheet of wrapping material laid on top of the products. The machine comprises adjustment means for a product feed line, the wrapper forming line, the operating stations and the pusher elements.
