  • Patent number: 12363575
Abstract: Solutions for dynamically toggling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) interleaving include: a base station receiving radio measurement reports from a user equipment (UE); based on at least the radio measurement reports, determining that radio reception by the UE meets a threshold; based on at least meeting the threshold, ceasing to interleave data on the PDCCH. The base station continues to monitor radio measurement reports from the UE, and based on at least the radio measurement reports indicating that radio reception by the UE meets a second threshold, resuming interleaving data transmitted on the PDCCH. In some examples, UEs are managed in broadcast groups (e.g., UEs within a common in a cell sector), and interleaving or ceasing interleaving is based on a determination of whether all UEs in the broadcast group are able to forego interleaving.

  • Patent number: 12356294
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to cross-platform exchange and sharing of auxiliary session data in connection with a transfer of a communication session. For example, with transfer of a voice call from a first platform to a second platform, the first platform shares profile data for a call participant to the second platform. In an example method, a first platform at which a user is connected to a communication session retrieves auxiliary session data. The first platform determines a transfer of the session to a second platform and sends a data record that includes the auxiliary session data to the second platform. The first platform transfers the communication session via a different cross-platform channel with a token that uniquely identifies the first platform and the data record. Accordingly, the token can be used by the second platform to locate the data record for use during the communication session.

  • Patent number: 12356332
Abstract: Method and system for reducing greenhouse gas emissions of a terrestrial wireless telecommunications network are disclosed. The system monitors a current energy consumption metric of the terrestrial network, predicts an energy consumption metric of the terrestrial network in a future time period based on at least one triggering event, and determines an available capacity metric of a non-terrestrial network in the future time period. When the energy consumption metric of the terrestrial network is greater than a first threshold and the available capacity metric of the non-terrestrial network is greater than a second threshold, the system causes the terrestrial network to enter an energy conservation mode of operation by transferring a first call or a first data session from a RAN cell of the terrestrial network to the non-terrestrial network and further causes the RAN cell to enter a low power mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 12354470
Abstract: A roadside unit (RSU) receives, from a first set of on-board units (OBUs) of a first set of vehicles, messages describing events triggered by the first set of OBUs in response to basic safety messages (BSMs). Each BSM is received by a vehicle from the RSU or another vehicle over a PC5 interface. Each vehicle is operating at less than a threshold distance from the RSU. A timestamp is assigned to each event. A feature vector is extracted from the timestamped events. A machine learning model generates an update to functionality of the RSU based on the feature vector. The machine learning model is trained to update the functionality for vehicular management. The RSU is operated using the updated functionality to communicate with a second set of OBUs of a second set of vehicles for preventing vehicular collisions among the second set of vehicles.

  • Patent number: 12342172
Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques described herein relate to use of an optimized security mode command (SMC) procedure for securing communications. When connecting to a different cellular network (e.g., from a 5th generation (5G) Radio Access Network (RAN)) to a different cellular network (e.g., a 4th generation (4G) RAN), a User Equipment (UE) performs the SMC procedure without processing subsequent commands until a period of time has elapsed. Instead of allowing the UE to process subsequent commands received close in time to receiving the SMC, the subsequent commands may be delayed/suspended so that the UE has time to perform the SMC procedure and establish secure communications with the 4G LTE network. According to some examples, the delay is set to a period of time (e.g., 1 ms, 10 ms, or some other value) such that the subsequent command does not interfere with performing the SMC procedure.
