  • Patent number: 4948081
Abstract: A height adjusting device for an automotive seat comprising a forward seat height adjusting mechanism adapted for height adjustment of the forward part of a seat cushion, a rearward seat height adjusting mechanism adapted for height adjustment of the rearward part of the seat cushion, a control mechanism which is operatively connected with those two height adjusting mechanism, and a pair of first and second sprocket wheels with an endless chain wound thereabout are arranged between the rearward height adjusting mechanism and control mechanism. Thus, a rattling or wobbling is avoided in the rearward height adjusting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4928609
Abstract: An automatic sewing apparatus which permits sewing together a curved edge of a first blank material and an edge of a second blank material, precisely and automatically. The construction of the sewing apparatus is such that on the table of sewing machine, a lower guide plate for securing the second blank material is movably mounted, and above the lower guide plate, provided is an upper guide plate having a movable guide piece slidable along a guide groove formed in the upper guide plate, the movable guide piece being for securing the first blank material. The lower guide plate is movable along a guide groove formed on the table. The two guide grooves are respectively formed in a shape conforming to a track required for orienting the relevant edge in a direction identical to the sewing path of the sewing machine.

  • Patent number: 4924163
Abstract: A side support control device for use in a vehicle seat in which by an occupant's switch operation a motor is driven to thereby control the operation of a side support so as to prevent the occupant from losing his or her sitting position. In the control device, the number of rotations of the motor to move the side support is detected by a rotation sensor, the detected number of counts is stored in a counter memory in link with the switch operation, and the amounts of opening and closing of the side support can be adjusted quickly and easily by switch operations.

  • Patent number: 4903931
Abstract: A lifter for an automotive seat, comprising a drive assembly including a long forward link member and a short rearward link member, and an operation mechanism including a drive shaft, a housing rotatably provided on the drive shaft, a gear provided in the housing, the gear being connected to the drive shaft, and a pair of first and second pawl members rotatably pivoted in the housing, with such arrangement that either of those pawl members is selectively brought to engagement with the gear by means of a switch-over cam. An operation lever is equipped with the housing, and both drive assembly and operation mechanism are operatively connected together. Thus, repeated reciprocal rotation of the operation lever attains an easy adjustment of the seat at a desired higher or lower level in a swinging manner, which permits a small rotation range of the operation lever.
