Patent number: 11300275Abstract: Support structure configured to engage both a lamp and adjacent structure, after the lamp has been installed horizontally in a socket, and maintains the lamp in horizontal alignment with regard to the socket. The lamp is installed in the socket, at least one adjustable length pins of the support structure is adjusted to a desired length, and the support structure is engaged with the lamp. If the lamp was installed in a ceiling, a lens or cover is also installed. Regardless, the support structure engages an adjacent surface (such as the ceiling lens or cover, or a surface in the recess of a wall), thereby maintaining the lamp in horizontal alignment with regard to the socket.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2020Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: TADD, LLCInventor: Timothy Taylor

Patent number: 10976015Abstract: A troffer light fixture that is easy to install, requires no brackets to have an acceptable appearance with regard to an existing, previously installed troffer housing, and can be used as a retrofit or as a new installation. The troffer light fixture includes one or more mechanisms with which a user can interact to extend or retract arms that are provided on the back side of the troffer light fixture. These arms work to secure the troffer light fixture in place relate to a ceiling, and when retracted provide that the troffer light fixture can be easily removed from the ceiling. The mechanism can take many forms, but in one embodiment can be provided as being a gear that meshes with gear racks that are provided on the arms.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2019Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: TADD, LLCInventors: David Gershaw, Daniel Lajoie, Li Juan, Hou Baolin

Publication number: 20140098568Abstract: An LED retrofit lamp which has one end which is configured to engage a standard light bulb socket, such as an E26 or E39 socket. The other end provides a plurality of LED's—a center section of LED's pointing downward, and a plurality of LED's going around a perimeter of the center section, generally pointing outward. Preferably, the LED retrofit lamp 10 includes circuitry which is configured to take the voltage received from the light bulb socket, and use that voltage to drive the LED's as well as, preferably, a fan which tends to keep the LED retrofit lamp within prescribed temperature tolerances. Preferably, a protective shield, such as a plastic protective shield, covers and protects the LED's. Furthermore, preferably the LED retrofit lamp includes louvers which allow the fan inside to grab air from the outside, and allows the hot air to escape. Preferably, the LED retrofit lamp is generally lightweight.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 4, 2012Publication date: April 10, 2014Applicant: TADD, LLCInventors: Timothy Taylor, Tony Chang
