Abstract: A cargo pack carrier comprises an arm 18 for attachment at one end to a handlebar 12 of a bicycle, a mounting structure 20 which is adjustably fitted to the other end of the arm, and a carrier structure 22 for attachment to the cargo pack 14. The mounting structure comprises a mounting member 30 for receiving an attachment element 44 of the carrier structure 22, and an anti-rotation element 40 which is spaced from the mounting member 30 and is engageable with an anti-rotation abutment 60 of the carrier structure 22 to prevent rotation of the carrier structure 22 about the mounting member 30.

Abstract: A bicycle accessory mounting device comprises: a flexible band having opposite ends and inner and outer faces; securing means which interconnects the ends of the band thereby to draw the band around a frame member of a bicycle; a connection block having a central abutment surface at which the connection block is secured to the inner face of the band, and a pair of mounting surfaces which extend from the abutment surface and diverge from each other in the direction away from the abutment surface; and respective fasteners provided on the mounting surfaces, the fasteners extending through the band for securing a respective accessory to the outer face of the band.

Abstract: A luggage pack in the form of a bar bag for attachment to a bicycle comprises an external stretch pocket made of a mesh with elastane or similar stretchy material, and a T-shaped Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) component sewn into the leading edge of the pocket. The TPU component forms a strap, equipped with holes like a belt, for closure. A buckle is attached to the bag and supported by an internal structure of the bag. The strap is looped through the buckle and a prong on the buckle engages one of the strap's holes for secure closure. The design maintains bag stability, reduces flapping of the strap end, and provides easy, one-handed access to the bag.

Abstract: A latch mechanism for securing together first and second parts of an assembly includes a first latching component comprising a retainer having an engagement surface; a resilient connector connecting the first latching component to the first part and applying a resilient action on the first latching component resisting displacement of the first latching component in a latching direction; and a second latching component comprising a projection having a latching surface and attached to the second part with the projection projecting outwardly from the second part to a free end of the projection. The engagement surface is engageable with the latching surface to prevent displacement of the first latching component relative to the second latching component in a direction opposite to a latching direction. The latch mechanism further comprises a guide surface on the second latching component and a limb provided on the first latching component.

Abstract: There is described a cargo pack for attachment to a bicycle. The pack comprises an outer casing of a flexible material. The outer casing has: an opening for loading the pack, oppositely disposed side walls, an attachment wall extending between the side walls and intended to lie adjacent a frame member of the bicycle, and elongate internal stiffening elements fitted to each side wall and to the attachment wall. There is also described a method of assembling a cargo pack for attachment to a bicycle.

Abstract: There is described a frame mounted bicycle accessory comprising: a collapsible receptacle; an interior stiffener of rigid material situated within the receptacle; a mounting block secured to the stiffener and having a contact portion situated externally of the receptacle for contact with a frame member of a bicycle; and a strap provided on the mounting block and adapted to extend around the frame member to secure the accessory to the frame member. The hooks 24 are selectively engageable by the buckle 26 to retain the closure arrangement in a closed condition. There is also described a bicycle provided with a cargo pack 14.

Abstract: A strap, for example for securing an accessory to a frame tube of a bicycle, comprises a band 2 of a resiliently extensible material which is provided with a buckle 8. The buckle 8 has an opening 14 through which a tail end 6 of the band 2 can be passed. An outer bar 17 of the buckle 8 defines an edge of the opening 14. A prong 18 is fixed to the outer bar 17, and can be engaged with any one of a series of holes 10 in the band 2 when the band is flexed over the outer bar 17 and pulled taut. The prong 18 has a contact surface 26 which is profiled to define a notch 34, 38 which serves to inhibit accidental slippage of the band 2 from the prong 18.
