Abstract: A system for operating an electronic tag includes a reader and an operation device. The electronic tag is coupled to an object and stores a variable state code and a variable physical parameter code. The variable state code represents a variable state of the object. The variable physical parameter code represents a variable physical parameter associated with the object. Under a condition that the variable physical parameter is substantially equal to a specific physical parameter, the operation device makes a logical decision on whether the variable state code is currently equal to a first specific state code representing a first specific state. Under a condition that the logical decision is true, the operation device changes the variable state code to a second specific state code representing a second specific state, and assigns a specific physical parameter code representing the specific physical parameter to the variable physical parameter code.
