    Abstract: A terminal structure has a portion that is separated and bent. A projecting section is provided for realize common use. A connector port incorporating the terminal is also provided. The connector port includes a hollow shell receiving and retaining therein an insulation housing for receiving and positioning a plurality of terminals. Further, the insulation housing has at least one detection pin arranged at one side thereof. The detection pin is engageable with an external plug connector fit therein in order to prevent shorting caused by a shell of the plug contacting the terminals of the port at the time when the connectors mate each other. Further, the insulation housing includes a plurality of clamps, which functions to clamp and position an external plug connector so as to securely retain the plug that is fit into the socket and to realize stable engagement when the connector mate each other.

    Abstract: A dual-purpose socket has a body, pin base and a pin set. The body has a front side, a chamber defined in the body and at least one opening. The at least one opening is formed through the front side, communicates with the chamber and allows an HDMI or Displayport plug to be inserted into the chamber. The pin base is mounted in the chamber and corresponds to HDMI and Displayport plugs. The pin set is mounted on the pin base and comprises a detecting pin. When the HDMI or Displayport plug is inserted into the chamber of the body, the detecting pin will respectively not touch or touch a pin of the HDMI or Displayport plug. Since HDMI and Displayport plugs can be used, the dual-purpose socket improves convenience and cost for electronic device consumers and manufacturers.

    Abstract: An eSATA connector integrated with DC power pins has a body, an eSATA terminal set, a power terminal set and a metal housing. The body is formed with an open groove and multiple through grooves respectively in a front surface and a rear surface. The eSATA terminal set has multiple signal terminals in parallel. A front electrical connection section of each signal terminals is mounted in the open groove. A rear soldering section of each signal terminals penetrates backwards through the through hole. Two power terminals are respectively mounted in two opposite outer sidewalls of the body respectively, at a height corresponding to the eSATA terminal set. When the eSATA connector connects to a matching eSATA socket on a motherboard, the two power terminals contact power terminals in the socket and obtain power to save wires and cost for the connection with an external power supply.

The exterior USB contacts respectively connect the middle eSATA contacts to transmit signals via the middle eSATA contacts. Therefore the connector socket is compatible with USB 3.0 specification and is compact with the single contact seat.
