  • Patent number: 7670211
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a rotating polishing tool with high durability that can finish a polished surface with desired surface roughness. As means thereof, a substantially cylindrical polishing member 3 is constituted by a pair of polishing units 9 at opposite ends, and an intermediate portion 10 provided between the pair of polishing units 9. The polishing member 3 is rotatably supported around the central axis thereof, and polishes a polished surface with a peripheral surface thereof. The polishing unit 9 includes a plurality of abrasive cloth/paper sheets 7 pressingly held by an inner metal fitting 8, and forms peripheral edges of the abrasive cloth/paper sheets 7 into a serpentine shape. The intermediate portion 10 includes a plurality of laminated abrasive cloth/paper sheets 7 axially pressingly held by the polishing units 9.

  • Patent number: 4622801
Abstract: A method of sealing the nose a packaging flat tube band after opening thereof. The method comprises separately adsorbing the upper and lower films and separating these films away from each other thereby to open the nose, charging a matter to be packaged through the opened nose in the horizontal direction, welding the tube band at both sides of the packaged matter transversely, and cutting the portion of the flat the tube band adjacent to the feed side. These steps are repeatedly to sucessively seal the nose of the packaging flat tube band. Disclosed also is an apparatus suitable for carrying out this nose sealing method.

  • Patent number: 4566252
Abstract: An improved method for the automatic packing of articles in which bag sections are successively made of tubular plastics bag material which is intermittently conveyed. Goods are charged into a bag section formed at the leading end of the bag material. Thereafter the goods-charged bag section is heat-sealed at an opening portion thereof and separated from a subsequent bag section of the bag material. In accordance with the invention, before charging the bag section with goods, a piece of reinforcing sheet is inserted in and secured to the foremost bag section to form a reinforced handle portion having an opening for suspension of the finished bag.

  • Patent number: 4336681
Abstract: This invention provides a method of transferring a strip-like plastic bag material in a packing machine. The method comprises the steps of transferring the bag material by a pair of intermittently operated pinching rollers. The bag material comprises a series of interconnected bags each having a heat-sealed bottom portion with a flap-like margin. The flap-like margin is raised during transfer of the bag material by guide means. The bottom portion is then detected by means of a microswitch having an elongated contact adapted to be releasably engaged with the flap-like margin as the flap-like margin is raised by the guide means during transfer of said bag material. The bag material is then stopped for a packing operation in response to detection by the microswitch of the bottom portion.
