It is possible to appoint symbols one by one by operating a symbol appointing circuit and to renew appointed symbols by operating the symbol appointing circuit at each time when the counted values coincide with time length data in the time allocating table. Thus, control is made so that the symbols appointed by the appointing circuit stop at a defined stop line. Under such configuration, any voluntary change of the probability of appearance for a certain combination mode of each symbol can be simply performed by merely changing the contents of the time-allocating table stored in the memory.
