    Abstract: Fully automatic, swift and reliable packing of stockings or the like is carried out by combination of an upstream stockings folder assembly and a downstream stockings encloser assembly, the folder assembly folds each pair of stockings for required times each time by cooperation of a reciprocal inserter plate and a nip formed by a pair of circulating suffaces for catching the stockings, and the encloser assembly inserts the folded stockings into plastic unit envelopes, either separate or combined in a continuous band, by cooperation of an insertion guide provisionaly enterable into each unit envelope and an inserter plate for assigning the folded stockings from the insertion guide to the unit envelope.

    Abstract: A pair of tubular stocking materials nipped by a pair of template units travelling along a circular guide rail are sliced at the center portions thereof to the thigh portions, sliced fringes are exposed outside in a substantially straight form by turning of the template units from each other, one sliced fringe only is seamed to one fringe of a separately fed gore piece on a first sewing machine, and the two sliced fringes are thereafter seamed together on a second sewing machine while concurrently seaming the other sliced fringe to the other fringe of the gore piece, approach of the sliced fringes being carried out under positive path control based on electric detection of the passage. In such a manner, a panty-hose with a gore can be manufactured automatically at enhanced process efficiency.

A pair of overlapping stocking materials mounted on a template unit are partially sliced along a predetermined line and are spread out to a reverse V-shape so that the sliced edge portions of the stocking materials are exposed outward. Then, a diamond shaped gore material which is folded in two is inserted between the overlapping portions of the stocking materials. Sliced portions of the stocking materials are substantially positioned along a straight line and a sliced edge portion of one stocking material and an edge portion of the gore material, which edge portions are overlapped, are seamed together by means of a first sewing machine. Then, another sliced edge portion of the other stocking material and another edge portion of the gore material which are also overlapped are also seamed together by means of a second sewing machine.

This detecting device serves to shut off the winding-on means which pulls the hose material onto the holding unit from within the suction tube.
