    Abstract: Service water is filtered by an active carbon pre-filter. The pre-filtered water is forced into a reverse osmosis membrane by a pump to produce pure water, and the pure water is processed to remove specific substances that consume ozone. Then, an ion-exchange resin treats a part of the low-ozone-consuming water and removes electrolytes from it to produce proper ultrapure water, which is supplied through a gas-liquid separating vessel to an electrolysis cell to produce ozone-containing gas. Another portion of the liquid in a lower space in the vessel is sent through a line to a separate temperature-controlled container. The returned liquid is mixed with the gas from the electrolysis cell by using an aspirator and ejector. Part of the high-concentration ozone water can be supplied through the temperature controlled container, a solenoid valve and a needle valve to an ozone water discharge device.

    Abstract: An electrolysis cell (1) includes an anodic plate (3), a cathodic plate (4) and a PEM (2) sandwiched between these plates (3, 4). The cell also includes a layer (5) containing a catalyst for generation of ozone. The layer (5) contains lead dioxide and PTFE and is interposed between the anodic plate (3) and the PEM (2). At least some portion of the anodic plate surface contacting the layer (5) is coated with platinum (6). The electrode plates (3,4) are not only electrically conductive but also in some portions are permeable to gas and liquid. A PTFE dispersion, lead dioxide powder and volatile dispersion medium are mixed are kneaded. The PTFE concentration relative to lead dioxide in the mixture is 5% by weight. The kneaded mixture (20) is spread to be a half-dried sheet (20) on paraffin paper plate (22). The half-dried sheet (20) is left standing or heated in an atmosphere at or below 100° C. to volatilize the dispersion medium and become dry.

    Abstract: An ozone-water feeding facility is able to feed ozone-water at a highly-accurately controlled concentration from an ozone-water producing apparatus to a remote service location even under an intermittent usage condition. The facility includes an ozone-water producing apparatus disposed remote from an ozone-water service location; a circulating pipeline extending outwardly from the ozone-water producing apparatus and returning thereto by way of a neighborhood of the service location; and a short branch pipe branched from the circulating pipeline at the above neighborhood. The ozone-water is intermittently introduced from the branch pipe, to thereby supply the ozone-water at a specific concentration to the service location. The facility may preferably include a discharge side ozone-water conditioning portion for diluting the ozone-water intermittently introduced from the short branch pipe into a specific concentration before the supply of the ozone-water to the service location.

    Abstract: An aqueous electrolysis cell for generation of gas includes an electrolysis container having an anode chamber and a cathode chamber separated from each other by a membrane. An anode and a cathode having permeability to gas and water are fitted on respective surfaces of the membrane. A first sealing element is fitted on the anode and the membrane to surround and seal circumference of the anode, one surface of the first sealing element being in tight contact with one surface of the membrane, and the first sealing element has an opening communicating with the anode. An anode current collector plate has one surface in tight contact with the other surface of the first sealing element, and a through-hole communicating with the opening of the first sealing element. A second sealing element has one surface in tight contact with the other surface of the anode current collector plate, and an opening communicating with the through-hole of the anode current collector plate.

The device includes: a water supply head; a first solenoid valve interposed in the course of a pipe connecting the water supply head to a pre-cleaning water source; a second solenoid valve interposed in the course of a pipe connecting the water supply head to an ozone-water source; and a sensor for detecting the presence of a substance such as a hand of a human body under a discharge port of the water supply head. The first solenoid valve is opened for a specific period of time A in response to a signal detected by the sensor, and the second solenoid valve is opened for a specific period of time C after an elapse of a specific period of time B since starting of the opening of the first solenoid valve.
