Abstract: A door can be opened from either direction, from the left or the right. A double direction opening mechanism for a door has a first and second hinge pairs (5, 6), a first and a second hinge pin drive mechanism (7, 8), and a first and a second handle (91, 92). When either the first or the second handle (91, 92) is selectively operated, either the first or the second hinge pin pair (53, 63) is drawn out from either the first or the second hinge pair (5, 6). Then, a door (3) is rotated for opening/closing about either or the hinge pin pairs (53, 63) joined to the other of the first or the second hinge pair (5, 6).

Abstract: The present mechanism makes a door to be openable from either the left or right side. This mechanism includes first and second pairs of hinges 5, 6, first and second hinge pin drive mechanisms 6, 7, and first and second handles 91, 02. Abstract: An emergency release for a door lock that is to be mounted to a door includes a lock unit having handles and a lock, one of the handles being associated with the lock and the other not associated therewith, a latch unit having a latching bolt, wherein the lock, when set, prevents retraction of the latching bolt by rotation of the handle associated with the lock, but does not prevent the retraction by rotation of the other handle, a linking unit having latch retraction means and a holding element, and a sensor unit having a sensor door. The sensor door is opened in response to a predetermined pressure change across the door on which the door lock is mounted and is connected to the holding element so that the holding element actuates latch retraction when the sensor door is opened for retracting the bolt independently of the lock unit.

Abstract: A lockable cap is disclosed which includes a base having an opening penetrating through the base plate, an openable cover pivotably mounted on the base for releasably covering the opening, an elastic member for elastically thrusting the cover in an opening direction for exposing the opening, a latch member for retaining the cover in a closed position with respect to the base against elastic thrust applied by the elastic member, a key-operated lock disposed in the base, a key-for setting and opening the key-operated lock, and a latch releasing member attached to the key-operated lock for releasing the latch member to open the cover when the key is inserted into the lock to open.

Abstract: A locking device with a key-operated lock is disclosed which includes a cylindrical member having a front open end and a rear end, locking means rotatably supported on the rear end of the cylindrical member, the locking means having a locking bar and an engagement member connected with respect to the locking bar, the engagement member being rotatable to turn the locking bar into locking or unlocking position, a key-operated disk tumbler lock, and a cap cylinder casing the disk tumbler lock therein, the cap cylinder with the disk tumbler lock being detachably accommodated in the cylindrical member through the front open end, wherein the cylindrical member has an engagement recess on its inner surface, the cap cylinder has a peripheral surface, and the disk tumbler lock has a lock pin capable of protruding through the peripheral surface and fitting in the engagement recess when the disk tumbler lock is set.
