    Abstract: A ligament fixture to be inserted and fixed into a fitting hole formed in an in-vivo bone is provided, and includes an in-vivo degradable and absorbable material which is a polymer-bioceramic composite material. The ligament fixture has at least one pair of opposed surfaces which are inclined faces gradually getting closer to each other toward to a front-end side of the ligament fixture and which form a wedge shape having a resistance imparting parts on each of the inclined faces. The ligament fixture includes a front-end part having a cross-sectional profile smaller than a cross-sectional profile of the fitting hole, and a main body part continuing from the front-end part, the main body part including a section having a cross-sectional profile larger than the cross-sectional profile of the fitting hole.

The fine conductive fibers in the transparent conductive layer (12) are dispersed without being aggregated, and touch each other while being dispersed with each of them separated from each other or each bundle of several fibers separated from each other. Therefore, it is possible to control a surface resistivity to 104?/? or smaller, and a conductive layer light beam transmittance at a wavelength of 550 nm to 75% or larger.

    Abstract: A composite porous object which comprises a biodegradable and bioabsorbable polymer containing bioactive bioceramic particles dispersed therein, the composite porous object having in inner parts thereof large voids 1 having a void diameter of 40-600 ?m and small voids 2 having a void diameter of 1 ?m or smaller, at least part of the large voids 1 and at least part of the small voids 2 constituting interconnected voids. The small voids 2 are formed in the biodegradable and bioabsorbable polymer walls 3 which surround the large voids 1 and in the surface of the walls 3. It is preferred that 40% or more of all voids constitute interconnected voids. The walls 3 surrounding the large voids 1 in the composite porous object are progressively replaced by bone tissues conducting from the surface of the walls (internal surface of the large voids 1) to inner parts of the walls and by bone tissues conducting from the internal surface of the small voids 2 in the walls 3 toward surrounding parts.

    Abstract: A gel for an ultrasonic phantom is provided which has satisfactory ultrasonic characteristics, does not fluctuate in ultrasonic characteristics over long, and is free from germ multiplication, alteration, putrefaction, etc. The gel is a gel for ultrasonic phantoms which comprises: a segmented polyurethane gel having alkylene oxide segments which are mostly or wholly liquid at ordinary temperature; and a nonvolatile organic gel-swelling medium not participating in a urethane-forming reaction, the medium being contained in the segmented polyurethane gel. Due to the nonvolatile organic gel-swelling medium, the liquid segments and the like are kept in an extended state and the distance between the segments is increased. The gel hence has satisfactory ultrasonic characteristics concerning ultrasonic attenuation rate, propagation velocity, etc. The gel does not change in swelling-medium content with time and hence retains the satisfactory ultrasonic characteristics over long.
