Abstract: A disk pad including a backing plate with an inner surface and a lining fixed to the inner surface, where the lining includes a collection groove open on the friction surface of the lining, where the backing plate includes an aspiration hole in fluid communication with this groove and connected to a vacuum source. The collection groove is extended at one of the ends thereof by a conduit whose outer end opens outside the friction surface, and where the conduit forms a section break with the groove. The angle of inclination between the axis of the conduit and the longitudinal axis of the groove is nonzero and is inclined such that the airflow near the friction surface of the lining is not perpendicular to the friction surface.
Abstract: A device is for capturing liquid particles in a gaseous flow which may be loaded with moisture, includes a body delimiting a cavity defining a mainly vertical flow path for the flow of gaseous air between inlet and outlet ports in an operating configuration of the device. The cavity has a vertical inner separating partition delimiting a settling chamber for the liquid particles to settle out along the main path and a liquid-collection chamber having a negative-pressure zone. The partition has a hole provided at the bottom of the partition and adapted for the suctioning of liquid from the settling chamber to the collection chamber via the effect of negative pressure in the zone.
Abstract: A friction assembly for brakes includes a brake head with lower and upper faces and a secondary duct connecting the two faces, and a brake shoe with first and second faces and a primary duct connecting the two faces. The brake shoe has a plate with a base which forms part of the second face for fixing to the lower face. The friction assembly includes a connecting ring arranged in the secondary duct and which establishes a connection with the primary duct, and a return mechanism which holds the connecting ring in contact with the second face at a circumferential contact zone. The connecting ring comes into contact solely with the base.
Abstract: System for suctioning braking particles from a friction braking system of a vehicle, the suction system including a negative-pressure source, a suction mouth, a filter, a conduit connecting the suction mouth to the negative-pressure source, a control unit configured to control the negative-pressure source, the suction system further including a stream of information originating from a computer that controls a motor-generator of a driving/braking system of the vehicle, the control unit being configured to control the negative-pressure source preemptively before the actual activation of the friction braking, the control unit controlling the negative-pressure source as a function of the activation of electromagnetic braking or other parameters, and associated method.
Abstract: Disclosed is a friction assembly for a railway disc brake system, this friction assembly including, on the one hand, a brake head including an upper face with a receiving slide, and a lower face, and on the other hand, shoe of friction material and including a first face which is the friction face, and a second face with a profile member configured to engage with the receiving slide, the shoe including a duct establishing sealed communication between a first space bordered by the first face and a second space bordered by the second face, the friction assembly further including a through-hole of central axis A, provided in the brake head and located in line with the duct, and a connection bushing in the through-hole and forming a connection with the duct. The friction assembly includes a return mechanism capable of pressing the connection bushing against the profile member.
