Patents Assigned to Tally Computerdrucker GmbH
  • Patent number: 6460979
Abstract: Disclosed is a piezo bending transducer drop-on-demand print head and a method of actuating it. Each of the piezo bending transducers of a piezo bending transducer drop-on-demand print head is subjected to a sequence, corresponding to the desired print image, of triggering pulses each effecting a drop discharge movement and, assigned to each triggering pulse, each piezo bending transducer neighboring the piezo bending transducer triggered by the triggering pulse is subjected to a compensating pulse deflecting it. The piezo bending transducer drop-on-demand print head has a nozzle plate with nozzles arranged in series. Respectively assigned to each nozzle is a piezo bending transducer which can be subjected to a triggering pulse accompanied by a drop being discharged from the respective nozzle. There is a control device by which each of the piezo bending transducers can be subjected to triggering pulses and compensating pulses in accordance with the method of the invention.

  • Patent number: 6421073
Abstract: A device for positioning a printing head of a printer in response to recording carrier/substrate thickness includes a reflex sensor arranged in a protected space formed between a head-carrying carriage and an opposing printing head housing surface. During printer initialization or upon insertion of a recording carrier/substrate having a thickness greater than a predetermined thickness, the printing head is slightly displaced with respect to the carriage as a result of brief contact of the printing head print surface with the recording carrier that is supported on a printing abutment. The reflex sensor measures the displacement travel distance of the printing head and generates an input signal to an evaluation circuit. The evaluation circuit generates an output control signal to a carriage displacement drive in response to the measured displacement of the print head to automatically set the distance between the printing head and the recording carrier or printing abutment.

  • Patent number: 6315401
Abstract: An ink printer having a printer body having two side walls arranged at a longitudinal distance from one another and a user side as defined along a longitudinal side of the printer body between the two side walls, the printer body defining a reservoir within the printer body. An exchangeable tank is removably insertable into the printer body so as to supply ink to the reservoir. A printer ink connection is arranged at the printer body, an ink connection arranged at a side of the exchangeable tank, the tank side having a defined cross-section, the printer ink connection and the tank ink connection being arranged so as to be connectable to one another after insertion of the exchangeable tank into the printer body. A basin-type transverse carrier arranged longitudinally between the two side walls proximal the user side, the basin-type transverse carrier having an open top portion that accommodates the at least one exchangeable tank.

  • Patent number: 6273548
Abstract: A circuit for controlling nozzle heads in inkjet printers includes a first plurality of nozzles disposed in a row forming an angle relative to a horizontal and to a line direction, respectively, wherein the nozzles of the first plurality of nozzles exhibit a defined distance from each other, and wherein the nozzles of the first plurality of nozzles are to be shot off without a time delay, and a second plurality of nozzles disposed in the row forming the angle relative to the horizontal and to the line direction, respectively, and electronically distinguished from the first plurality of nozzles, wherein the nozzles of the second plurality of nozzles exhibit a defined distance from each other, and wherein the nozzles of the second group of nozzles are disposed interleaved relative to the first plurality of nozzles.
