Abstract: An improvement in a process for manufacture of an article comprising a core body covered with an embossed flexible plastic sheet employing an apparatus which comprises a male mold having a protruded portion and a female mold comprising a vacuum chamber and a depressed portion arranged thereon is disclosed. The apparatus is characteristic in that an embossed porous bottom surface is provided in the depressed portion and passages of pressurized gas are arranged on the wall of the depressed portion. An edge or rim of a reverse surface of the core body is neatly covered with an embossed plastic sheet by means fo the passage of pressurized gas attached to the female mold in the process of the manufacture of the covered article.
