  • Patent number: 4710065
Abstract: A method for carrying out wire bolting of a rock, in which method a hole is drilled in a rock, and a wire piece shorter than the hole is pushed into the hole. In order to simplify the insertion, the wire piece is pushed into the hole by the same wire from which the wire piece has been cut. A wire bolting device developed for effecting the method comprises a cutting device mounted on the carrier of the device between a wire feeding mechanism and a resilient guide pipe attached to a head guide. A mounting space is provided beside the cutting device for the mounting of a pushing support between the ends of the cut wire.

  • Patent number: 4708533
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for guiding a concrete feeding hose in connection with the grout feedin rock bolting. The concrete feeding hose is therein passed by means of a feeder froma reel into a guide head supported on a feeding beam of a drilling equipment and further through the guide head into a hole drilled in the rock, and is passed back on to the reel in proportion as the hole is filled. In order to protect the feeder of the concrete feeding hose against dirt and mechanical damage, the concrete feeding hose is pushed into the guide head through a flexible guiding means.

  • Patent number: 4708532
Abstract: A device for storing a concrete feeding hose in a rock bolting device, comprising a reel for a hose, which reel is mounted rotatably on a supporter, and that end of the hose which is attached to the reel is connected to concrete feeding means. In order that the coiling device could be used for passing the hose into a drill hole and for drawing it out of the hole, the reel is surrounded by a ring-shaped supporting wall against which the hose is positioned when the reel is rotated in the uncoiling direction. An unrotative guiding means is provided beside the supporting wall so as to guide the hose out of the reel by the action of an axial expulsive force exerted on the hose due to the rotary movement of the reel.

  • Patent number: 4705631
Abstract: A thickener has a receptacle in which a thickening drum having an axial filtering wall is mounted in a receptacle for rotation about an axis. A liquid-and-solid-materials mass to be thickened is introduced into the one axial end of the thickening drum. Thereby the solid materials contained in the mass to be filtered form a filtering layer on the inner surface of the a filtering wall and liquid filtrate from the mass flows through the filtering layer and wall into the receptacle. At least one barrier plate radially divides the inner space of the thickening drum into axially sequential spaces, the barrier plate being fixed within the thickening drum for rotation therewith. The barrier plate is provided with at least one opening axially therethrough for flow of the mass to be thickened and at least one opening axially therethrough for air flow in the axial direction of the thickening drum. The thickened mass is then discharged from the other axial end of the thickening drum.

  • Patent number: 4688725
Abstract: A method of regulating a grinding process in a pocket grinder pressing a wood batch in at least one pocket against a rotating grindstone with a grinding plate movable in the pocket calculates the apparent pulp quantity produced at measuring points at fixed intervals of the grinding stroke and changes in the wood batch density which occur during the grinding stroke. The value thus calculated is compared with a target value for the pulp quantity to be produced and the grinding process regulated thereby to reach the target value. To make the pulp quantity produced as even as possible, the calculated value of the apparent pulp quantity produced is corrected in relation to the hydraulic pressure used during the grinding stroke.

  • Patent number: 4643619
Abstract: A method of feeding cement into a drill hole for cement bolting of a rock, according to which a feeder pipe (2) is pushed into the hole essentially to the bottom of the hole portion to be filled with cement, cement is fed into the hole beginning from the bottom of the hole portion, and the pipe is displaced outwards in the hole when the cement fills the hole. The feeding of cement is stopped and the pipe is removed when the amount of cement is sufficient to fill the gap between the wall of the hole and the rock bolt to be pushed into the hole. The displacement of the pipe is controlled by means of the filling pressure (TP) caused by the cement fed between the pipe tip and the bottom of the hole portion to ensure that the hole is reliably filled despite possible cracks and crushed zones.

  • Patent number: 4617715
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and mechanism for preliminary anchoring of a wire rope bolt in a bore by means of friction. The object is to eliminate the need to use wooden wedges or to bend the strands of the rope backwards, procedures which are time-consuming. In accordance with the invention, a permanent deformation is produced in the wire rope bolt in such a way that friction force is produced when parts of the bolt press against the wall of the bore. The mechanism may comprise, fitted at a point prior to feeding rolls, a bending roll, which bends the wire rope before it is fed into the bore. The circumference of the feeding roll can be V-shaped, in which case it causes the bent wire rope to rotate and to become helical.
