Patent number: 7486883Abstract: A radio sync system for photographic equipment including a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. The transmitter unit utilizes a power-management scheme for keeping the transmitter unit in a low-power stand-by state except when an RF signal needs to be transmitted, and returning the transmitter unit back into the low-power stand-by state within a predefined short period of time after transmitting the RF signal. The receiver unit utilizes a power-sensing scheme for keeping the receiver unit in a low-power stand-by state when it is not connected to a remote photographic equipment or the remote photographic equipment is powered off but turning the receiver unit on when it is connected to a remote photographic equipment and the remote photographic equipment is powered on such that when an RF signal is received, the receiver unit can send a command signal to operate the remote photographic equipment.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2005Date of Patent: February 3, 2009Assignee: Tamrac, Inc.Inventor: Wade McNary

Patent number: 6830150Abstract: A storage container, pouch, panel or part of a bag for carrying reusable items such as recording medium cartridges, rechargeable batters, or other reusable media and having an indicating flag for determining which of the reusable items contained within the containers have been used or not used. The container comprises a plurality of pockets, wherein each pocket has an indicating flag which is attached to the lining of the pouch. The pockets enable the reusable items to be stored therein and then the indicating flag is then moved out of the pocket so that it is exposed over the cartridge, so that the user knows that the reusable item has already been used and has no additional storage capacity or knows not to reuse it to record over it unless they intend to do so.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2002Date of Patent: December 14, 2004Assignee: Tamrac, Inc.Inventor: Ryan Cyr

Patent number: 6206567Abstract: A container having dual openings for facilitating rapid access to the interior of the container to remove articles from the container which includes two ends, two sides and a base. A side closure flap is attached to one of the two sides and forms a top when the flap is in a closed position for covering the top opening of the container. The side closure flap can be opened by flipping over the flap to gain access to the interior of the container. The top of the container has a full length double zipper which facilitates access to the interior of the container from the top instead of flipping over the side closure flap.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2000Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: Tamrac, Inc.Inventor: Ryan Cyr

Patent number: 4610286Abstract: A case for holding equipment such as cameras and accessories has a shell formed of a bottom wall and upstanding sidewalls and end walls. Dividers, which extend between the sidewalls, are secured to the sidewalls in an adjustable fashion that allows them to be positioned horizontally to divide the case into compartments of different sizes. A horizontal support extends between, is attached to the sidewalls and is secured to the end wall and one of the dividers for providing a horizontal surface for supporting the bottom of a camera body. The dividers have U-shaped cutouts that support a lens attached to and extending out from the camera body. The horizontal support is adjustable vertically to accommodate different sized camera bodies so that the horizontal support and the U-shaped cutouts in the dividers cooperate to support the camera body and its attached lens above the rest of the accessories and extra lenses in the case.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1985Date of Patent: September 9, 1986Assignee: Tamrac, Inc.Inventor: Jesselyn T.
