Abstract: An item recommendation control platform is disclosed. The item recommendation control platform presents an administrative user one or more user interfaces at which recommendation rules may be defined. Each of the recommendation rules may be associated with one or more nodes within a retail website, such as an item detail page or an item category page. The recommendation rules may be selected, defined, and prioritized, such that one or more item recommendation rules may be reflected within a given item recommendation presented on a retail website. The item recommendation rules can include one or more filters, the filters controlling which items may be recommended to a given user based, for example, on item availability or shipping availability.

Abstract: An integrated asynchronous interface for data retrieval from across a plurality of data sources is described. An interface may include a plurality of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) as well as a database for constructing responsive data. A search request may be decomposed at the interface to sub-search requests to be distributed to multiple data sources via a search request API. Data responsive to the sub-search requests may be aggregated at an interface database. A status API may maintain a status of the search request, and can update a tenant regarding the status of the tenant's search request. A response API may be used to provide reconstructed data responsive to the search request from the interface database to the tenant.
Abstract: In some implementations, a method performed by data processing apparatuses includes receiving stored map data corresponding to a digital map, identifying a discrepancy between the digital map and a physical space which the digital map represents, updating the digital map to correct the identified discrepancy, storing the updated digital map, and optionally providing the updated digital may for presentation on a device display.

Abstract: A processor on a computing device executes a monitoring module to perform steps that include sending a request to a baseboard management controller in the computing device to search for an event in an event log maintained by the baseboard management controller. A response is received from the baseboard management controller in response to the request and is used with a current state of the monitoring module to determine whether to send an event message to a central controller located on a network to indicate that the computing device is malfunctioning.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes determining that a group of items left a space together based on RFID exit times and determining that at least one item of the group of items left the space without authorization by evaluating transactions that took place within a first time period before the at least one item left the space. A single investigation file is automatically created that includes the group of items that left the space together.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating and distributing data visualizations are provided. One method includes displaying a user interface including a canvas and a card builder toolset, the card builder toolset including a plurality of selectable options, each of the plurality of selectable options responsive to user input to present a definition screen including one or more card definition parameter input fields. The method further includes receiving user input into the one or more card definition parameter input fields for each of the plurality of selectable options and, in response, defining at least one aspect of a card to be included within a user dashboard presented on the canvas. The method also includes rendering a card within the canvas in accordance with parameters defined by the user input, the card being included within a dashboard to be displayed to users.

Abstract: A network based order fulfillment systems having an improved user interface at both a customer device and at an order fulfillment location employee device. Both customer and employee devices scan collect user input and other information using one or more sensors of the user devices to provide proper notifications to both the customer and the employee based on the actions of each. Location information for a customer computing device can be used to continually update ETA and time since arrival information displayed at the employee's computing device.

Abstract: Robotic automation and methods described herein can be used to enhance the efficiencies of order fulfillment and inventory stowage processes. For example, this document describes the use of mobile robots in conjunction with a human order picker to pick and transport items for order fulfillment processes in an efficient manner. The described systems and methods allow the elimination of human labor particularly related to transporting saleable goods and similar items. Mobile robots take over many of the tasks related to transporting the picked items. Accordingly, the efficiency of the human order picker, as measured by the number of line items picked per hour for example, is greatly enhanced.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for complying with customs regulations for overseas shipments. The customs compliance systems and methods rely on current data to timely and accurately submit (or correct and resubmit) an “Importer Security Filing” or “ISF” to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“U.S. CBP”) authority. In particular, the present systems retrieve (e.g., using various APIs) and rely on current data from the most accurate or up-to-date sources of such data. Moreover, each ISF record is handled independently, retrieving the current data as needed rather than in sequential, batched requests. As a result, errors and time for processing ISF submissions are reduced because accurate data is more readily and promptly available.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automating image annotations are provided, such that a large-scale annotated image collection may be efficiently generated for use in machine learning applications. In some aspects, a mobile device may capture image frames, identifying items appearing in the image frames and detect objects in three-dimensional space across those image frames. Cropped images may be created as associated with each item, which may then be correlated to the detected objects. A unique identifier may then be captured that is associated with the detected object, and labels are automatically applied to the cropped images based on data associated with that unique identifier. In some contexts, images of products carried by a retailer may be captured, and item data may be associated with such images based on that retailer's item taxonomy, for later classification of other/future products.

Abstract: Methods and systems for processing an order are disclosed. A unified shopping cart receives a first request from a first tenant interface and second request from a second tenant interface, different from the first tenant interface. Each request includes first request data including a customer identifier, a selection of one or more items, and a desired delivery mode. The first request and the second request are associated with the same customer, and are processed using a unified payment transaction.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for optimizing delivery modes used to transport items to a customer. A delivery optimization system includes an online ordering system, a delivery mode optimizer, an order allocator, and a ship label and manifest generator. The delivery mode optimizer selects an optimal shipping mode based on information received from carriers. The lowest cost option to deliver the goods to the destination by a promised delivery date is selected at the time the order is received. A shipping node is selected that can supply the items needed to fulfill the order within the desired timeframe. The delivery mode is reevaluated after the order is prepared for shipment to determine if available shipping options have changed.
