Patent number: 11306985Abstract: A magazine of a pistol for cartridges with a case rim, having a hollow magazine body for accommodating the cartridges in two vertically offset rows, a base plate, a feeder, which is guided in a displaceable manner in the magazine body, and a compression spring between the feeder and the base plate, wherein the upper end region of the magazine body forms a narrowing, in which the two rows of cartridges are guided together to form a single row. In order to ensure a reliable feed of the cartridges despite the case rim, in the longitudinal center the side walls have inwardly directed beads which run over the entire height of the side walls and merge, in the upper region, into converging guide ribs, and the feeder forms a bearing surface, which is convex in the longitudinal direction and on which a cartridge located thereon can alter its angle of inclination in relation to the horizontal.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2021Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: Taurus Holdings, Inc.Inventor: Wilhelm Bubits

Patent number: 4893836Abstract: A binding member having a pair of spaced ratcheted-surfaced posts which includes a bifurcated rim separated by an open groove, and extending from a binding member head. The binding member head is insertible into a counterbore in a paper sheets stack binding strip, the strip having an aperture through which the binding member posts are inserted. The rim includes a beveled ridge which passes through the strip aperture and snap locks into an exit portion of the aperture on a side of the strip opposite the counterbore. A finger-operated flat push disc binding/debinding tool is utilized to push and ratchet a pawl-containing locking collar on the posts and into a strip counterbore to clamp a paper sheets stack. An edge of the disc is insertible between the posts for breaking off excess length of a post extending from the strip and locking collar. The disc also contains a bifurcated bit for shearing from the posts.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 1988Date of Patent: January 16, 1990Assignee: Taurus Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Charles T. Patent number: 4887925Abstract: A prong or tang-type paper sheets binding system includes a cover marginal edge on which or over which the connector base and the prongs or tangs are abutted or bent with respect to the edge. An integral imperforate edge extension is provided which is foldable over the bent prongs and any keeper and foldable over the prong base or head to cover the exposed unattractive metal components of the connector including the prongs or tangs. In a preferred embodiment a second integral edge extension which contains a slot sized to encompass the bent prongs and a keeper if employed, or the prong base is foldable over the imperforate extension so that a planar smooth-finished surface of the imperforate extension covers the otherwise exposed metal components of the connector.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1988Date of Patent: December 19, 1989Assignee: Taurus Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Charles T. Patent number: 4874186Abstract: A paper sheets binding system utilizes a two-part connector including a headed bifurcated inner ratcheted post binding member and a headed pawls-containing locking collar which is ratcheted down over the post member legs to cinch the heads either directly around punch-hole apertures in a paper sheets stack or against a pair of longitudinal binding strips on opposite marginal edges of the stack, with or without an affixed paper sheets cover. The post legs and pawls on the binding member and locking collar, respectively, are offset from the center of their heads so that upon assembly on a paper sheets stack to be bound, the connector element heads are asymmetric with respect to the apertures in the punch-hole paper stack. This allows the connector to better withstand asymmetric loading which is present when a book is purposely opened or accidentally dropped.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1987Date of Patent: October 17, 1989Assignee: Taurus Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Charles T. Patent number: 4743048Abstract: A binder for a stack of punched hole paper sheets utilizes various headed fastener members with a post insertable in the punched holes from one side of the stack. A post connector is utilized on the other side of the stack. The headed fastener members, normally two or three in number corresponding to the number of punched holes in the paper sheets, are captured in recesses and post apertures, punched in a multi-fold carrier made by scoring and folding a thin flexible binder material which serves to encapsulate, capture, space and hold the series of headed fasteners. The fastener posts extend perpendicular to a resultant appreciably stiffened elongated multilayer carrier forming a unitary assembly. In a preferred embodiment, a post connector is also captured and held in a recess within an elongated multi-fold, multilayer carrier forming a second unitary assembly. The multilayer carriers in a preferred embodiment include integral front and rear covers.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1986Date of Patent: May 10, 1988Assignee: Taurus Holdings, Inc.Inventor: Charles T. Patent number: 4730972Abstract: A two-part binding system includes one or more bifurcated posts integrally extending from a clamping strip or member. The posts are inserted into one or more apertures in a stack of punched paper or other material and a second clamping strip having one or more integral or separate latching buttons inserted over and around the posts. Each button includes one or a pair of toothed pawls integrally hinged to a cross bar extending across a button aperture. The posts contain a series of transverse ratchets facing each other. As the second strip and its integral or snap-in latching button is manually pressed over the posts toward the first clamping strip, the teeth of the pawl teeth ratchet successively into the posts toward the base of the posts until the stack of paper is firmly grasped and the teeth mesh with a final transverse ratchet. At this position, the strips are bowed putting the edges of the stacked sheets in compression.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 1986Date of Patent: March 15, 1988Assignee: Taurus Holdings, Inc.Inventors: Rickson Sun, David M.
