Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for separating liquid from a gas/liquid mixture, including: a housing; a gas/liquid mixture inlet located at a lower side of the housing; a coalescer placed in the housing above the gas/liquid mixture inlet for extending the volume of liquid droplets from the mixture passing the coalescer; at least one liquid feed, which liquid feed runs at least partially through the coalescer and ends at location below the gas/liquid mixture inlet; a liquid outlet for the separated liquid fraction located at a lower side of the housing under the coalescer; and a gas outlet for the separated gas fraction located at an upper side of the housing above the coalescer.
Abstract: The invention relates to a vane diffuser for separating a gas/liquid/particulate-mixture flow in a gas phase fraction and a liquid/particulate phase fraction, comprising: a distribution chamber holding a plurality of curved vanes and an inlet for the gas/liquid/particulate-mixture wherein the vane diffuser also comprises a cyclone pre-separator located before the distribution chamber. The invention also relates to a method for separating a gas/liquid/particulate-mixture.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for separating a heavy fraction from a fluid, comprising: a main channel; swirl means in the main channel; collecting means adjoining the main channel for collecting the discharge heavy fraction; a concentric additional supply conduit with an outlet and extending into the cylindrical housing; a return channel connecting the collecting means with the additional supply conduit, and deflection means wherein the outlet is encircling the circumference of the additional supply conduit. The invention also relates to a method for separating a heavy fraction from a fluid using such a device.
