  • Patent number: 10717557
Abstract: A vacuum cleaning unit for use with blister packaging includes a plate configured to closely overlie a conveyor having open blister packaging containing objects to be packaged, such as brushes. Angled slots on a lower portion of the plate apply full and uniform coverage of wells of the blister packaging as the packaging is indexed below the plate by the conveyor. Open areas of the plate are spaced apart by solid areas on either side of an open central area of the plate in flow communication with a source of vacuum or suction. The solid and open areas cooperate with the slots to direct air from the edges to the central suction area in a manner that keeps the objects in the wells more stable as they enter and exit the suction area.

  • Patent number: 10271935
Abstract: A single use fluid delivery system including a fluid containing vial fitted with a non-removable sealing plug; a separate fluid applicator non-removably installable on the fluid vial; and a ball seal structure located on the fluid vial and configured to seal the fluid vial until the applicator is installed. The fluid filled and sealed vial and the applicator are provided as separate pieces, and during use of the single dose fluid delivery system the applicator is installed onto the vial, and during installation of the applicator onto the vial, the seal is dislodged and opens a channel for the fluid to flow to the applicator.

  • Patent number: 6854914
Abstract: To form an applicator, at least one container having an open bottom and a closed tubular portion is molded and the at least one tubular portion has a corresponding one of a tubular mandril containing an applicator component inserted into it for permitting the application of fluidic material from its tip. The mandril is removed while leaving the applicator component in position within the tubular portion of the applicator container. To utilize the applicator after filling it with its ingredients, the end of the tube is broken free. A plurality of containers are connected one to the other on a base having an open end with elongated tubular members extending from each of the plurality of containers sealed at its end. A dense bristle is used having Nylon bristles with a diameter of 2 mils.

  • Patent number: 6752949
Abstract: A handle for use in production of brushes by fusion. The handle is injection molded with a set of pre-formed holes. Each hole contains, on its bottom surface, a protrusion of excess material. Bristles for the brush are heated to form a small fuse at their ends. When the fused ends are inserted into the holes, material from the protrusion flows around the fuses, retaining them in the holes upon cooling.

  • Patent number: 5911577
Abstract: A prophy angle dental tool comprises a disposable attachment to an air turbine type of dental tool drive motor. The disposable attachment has a single section tubular body that extends from a direct drive coupling with the drive motor power shaft housing to the driven dental implement. A quick-coupling hub at one end of a medial drive shaft receives a lug drive mechanism in the motor drive shaft. Externally, the coupling hub is confined to coaxial rotation within the motor shaft housing. The medial drive shaft extends unrestrained from the motor coupling hub along an internal void within the tubular body into geared engagement with a short shaft. The short shaft is rotatively driven about an axis that is substantially transverse of the tubular body length. A pinion gear on the inner end of the short shaft is engaged by a gear at the end of the medial drive shaft thereby driving the short shaft while simultaneously holding the short shaft within a short shaft housing bore.
