Abstract: An apparatus for charge-wise dosing a metered volume quantity of liquid medium to be supplied continuously under delivery pressure, comprising a pair of serially connected cylinder-and-piston assemblies of different diameters the cylinder blocks being arranged axially relatively to each other, forming a composite housing; a supply conduit for the flowing medium connected to the smaller diameter cylinder block and a filling nozzle connected to the larger diameter cylinder block and containing a discharge opening; a tube operating as a piston member for reciprocation in the composite housing, which tube is in direct communication with the smaller diameter cylinder block and connected to the larger diameter cylinder block via a passage provided in the larger diameter piston.

Abstract: A method of making a pressed curd having a closed rind by introducing curd in a cheese mould and pressing same with timed pressure variations, with separation of whey. According to the invention the curd in the cheese mould is subjected to a pressing cycle of intermittent pressing operations, whereby pressure is exerted on the curd in a number of periods, alternated by pressureless periods.

Abstract: A door construction for a vehicle, in particular a railway carriage, comprising a one-leaved or two-leaved door which through the intermediary of one or more brackets, secured to a rotatable, vertical shaft, can be opened or closed by rotating said shaft, and a drive means for rotating said rotatable shaft, which drive means acts through the intermediary of a linkage on a first arm secured to said rotatable shaft, and by means of which the door can be locked in the closed position. In the closed position of the door, the linkage can be locked in a single point according to the overcenter closing principle.
