  • Patent number: 11839593
Abstract: Topical pain relief compositions include a cannabinoid, terpenoid, and skin penetration system that includes dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and at least one compatibilizer. The composition may be in the form of an emulsion that contains water and at least one fatty component. The composition can be used to reduce or eliminate pain by direct topical application to an affected part or region of the body. A method of treating pain may include direct topical application of the composition to a joint, ligament, muscle, tendon, or disk. The composition penetrates through the skin to provide localized pain relief where applied and provides a quantity of cannabinoid in the region of the pain instead of distributing the cannabinoid systemically and/or to the brain or central nervous system. The composition may be applied by rubbing or massaging at the treatment site and/or by a bandage, patch or other barrier layer.

  • Patent number: 11446278
Abstract: A topical composition includes a cannabinoid, a terpenoid, and a skin penetration system that includes dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and at least one compatibilizer. The composition may be in the form of an emulsion that further contains water and at least one fatty component. The composition can be used to reduce or eliminate pain by topical application to an affected region of the body. The composition provides localized pain relief by providing a focused quantity of cannabinoid in the region of the pain instead of distributing the cannabinoid systemically and/or delivering it to the brain or central nervous system.

  • Patent number: 11097438
Abstract: Adjustable weight striking device can be selectively loaded with weighting material to temporarily increase striking force during use and unloaded to reduce weight while carrying. The tool has body made of low density material and working end for striking tool, handle extending from the body made of low density material, striking tool at working end, and apparatus for holding weighting material adjacent to the body. The weight holding apparatus can be platform with straps or other securing feature for temporarily holding weighting material and/or an interior chamber within the body for receiving weighting material. Weighting material can be sand, water, dirt, gravel, rock, or metal and can temporarily increase the weight of the striking tool by 50%, 100%, 200% 250%, 300%, 400%, 500% or more depending on volume and/or density of weighting material as compared to striking device.

  • Patent number: 9095373
Abstract: A scrub brush for cleaning arms, hands, and fingernails includes a reservoir for applying an antiseptic or cleaning composition and first and second groups of bristles having different relative flexibilities. The reservoir can be an absorbent open-foam material capable of absorbing and holding a liquid cleaning composition. The first bristles are designed to gently cleanse skin surfaces without scratching, gouging, scraping or otherwise damaging skin. The second bristles are more rigid than the first bristles to more aggressively scrub dirt, microbes or other foreign debris from gaps underneath fingernails. A finger alignment guide adjacent to the stiffer bristles maintains proper alignment between fingernails and the stiffer bristles so that the bristles enter gaps underneath the fingernails when the fingers are moved in a back and forth motion.

  • Patent number: 9044846
Abstract: Adjustable weight camping mallet having a hollow head with interior chamber and access opening that can be selectively covered and uncovered. When uncovered, the access opening permits insertion of weighting material into the interior chamber to increase weight of the mallet head. Covering the access opening retains the weighting material within the interior chamber. The adjustable weight mallet has minimal weight, such as while backpacking, when the interior chamber is empty. When the mallet head is filled with weighting material (e.g., sand, water, wet sand, dirt, wet dirt, rocks, lead fishing sinkers, pocket knife, batteries, or combinations thereof), the weight can be increased by more than 50%, 100%, 200% or 300% depending on the volume and/or density of weighting material.
