Abstract: An operator recognition device is provided that eliminates the registration of data such as HMM data having a characteristic amount for which error in recognition occurs easily when recognizing an operator, and thus reduces the possibility of errors in recognition, and has stable recognition performance. When registering HMM data that is used when performing recognition processing, a speaker recognition device 100 eliminates the registration of HMM data of a password having a characteristic amount of the spoken voice component that is similar to a characteristic amount that is indicated by HMM data that is already registered, and does not allow the registration of HMM data for which it is estimated that error in recognition will occur easily during the recognition process.

Abstract: An electronic device, a control method thereof and a security program are provided which are capable of preventing or suppressing the theft of the electronic device. The electronic device comprises mounting means for loading a portable recording medium and encrypted information write means for encrypting predetermined information using an encryption key unique to the electronic device and writing the encrypted information in the recording medium. The electronic device further comprises encrypted information read means for reading the encrypted information recorded in the recording medium in the case where the recording medium is loaded in the mounting means, decryption execution means for executing the decryption of the encrypted information using the encryption key, and control means for setting the electronic device in usable mode in the case where the encrypted information is decrypted by the decryption execution means.

Abstract: An information reproducing/recording system has a reproducing apparatus which reproduces program information from a first recording medium, a recording/reproducing apparatus which records program information on a second recording medium or reproduces program information from the second recording medium, and a control apparatus which controls the reproducing apparatus and the recording/reproducing apparatus. The control apparatus acquires first management information for program information recorded on the first recording medium, and acquires second management information for program information recorded on the second recording medium. And then, the control apparatus compares the first management information and the second management information, and judges based on the result of comparison whether program information corresponding to the first management information has been recorded on the second recording medium.

Abstract: An information recording/reproducing system has an information recording/reproducing apparatus and a portable information recording/reproducing apparatus. The information recording/reproducing apparatus has: an information copying device which, when predetermined a piece of program information is reproduced from a first recording medium, copies the piece of program information and at least one piece of program information to be subsequently reproduced, from the first recording medium to the second recording medium, and an information erasing and copying device which, when the reproducing of the piece of program information is ended, erases the piece of program information from the second recording medium, and then newly copies a piece of program information to be reproduced after said at least one piece of program information, from the first recording medium to the second recording medium.
