Abstract: A device for deviating an electromagnetic beam. The device includes a mirror for reflecting the electromagnetic beam; and first, second and third magnets for generating a magnetic field. The second magnet is located between the first and third magnets. The device further includes a winding which is located within the magnetic field and which is fixed to the mirror. An elastic support is provided for elastically supporting the mirror with respect to the second magnet. Electric current is supplied through the winding to cause the mirror to oscillate with respect to the magnets.
