Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for improving the water quality for hair and body care, wherein an exact impregnation ratio between CO2 and water may be maintained even at low water pressure by using a step piston 11, namely by using CO2 compressed gas cartridges which are refillable with CO2 compressed gas, and by eliminating cartridges into which water or moisture has penetrated.

Abstract: A process and an arrangement for hair care or therapeutic skin treatment are provided which most finely impregnate the heated and running water with CO.sub.2 directly before it is contacted with the hair or skin and which serve for lowering the pH value to values markedly below 7 due to the carbonic acid forming proportionately.

Abstract: A method of root fertilization in cultivated plants, particularly in the field of hydrophonics is provided wherein water is finely impregnated with a gas mixture of carbon dioxide and pure oxygen, whereby the mixing ratio of the carbon dioxide and the pure oxygen corresponds approximately to the natural solution ratio of carbon dioxide and oxygen in normally clean water at atmospheric pressure and room temperature and whereby the individual gaseous phases, respectively their inflow to the gas mixture, can be controlled when required from the gas mixing area.

Abstract: Structure for and method of cooling or heating a space which is exposed to a natural heat influence. The structure includes a first fluid store buried in the ground so as to be at the temperature of the surrounding earth, a heat exchanger positioned in a space to be cooled and means for passing a fluid between the first fluid store and heat exchanger in a closed circuit. The structure of the invention may also include heat units for the space and hot water heaters connected in the closed circuit between the heat exchanger and first fluid store and a heat pump connected between the heat units and water heaters and the closed circuit. In a further embodiment of the invention, a second fluid store is provided in conjunction with the heat exchange structure which may also be buried so that waste heat may be utilized to heat the fluid in the second fluid store.

Abstract: By specific setting of the CO.sub.2 content and pH value of the spraying mixtures containing, apart from water, minerals and/or products for pest and disease control of the plant, the metabolism of plants is specifically stimulated and encouraged so that storage in the plants of surplus nutrients is avoided and their health and resistance is improved. The spraying mixture is constantly and over an extended period kept circulating. Both pH value and CO.sub.2 content of the spraying mixure is constantly measured. While doing this, the Ph value of the spraying mixture is exactly set. In this way the existing agricultural spraying devices having a spraying mixture circulating system are economically operated.

Abstract: A method of qualitatively and quantitatively improving the fertilization of plants comprising impregnating a plant nutrient salt solution, optionally containing herbicides, fungicides or insecticides, with an amount of CO.sub.2 effective to economically increase the solubility of said nutrient salt whereby the quantitative uptake through the surface is improved.

Abstract: An apparatus for impregnating water with carbon dioxide provides a stepped-flow channel with radial shoulders lying in planes perpendicular to the axis of the flow channel creating a zone of increased flow velocity downstream of each shoulder. Radial bores open into each stepped section adjacent the respective shoulder and communicate with a chamber surrounding the flow channel to supply the carbon dioxide to the liquid which is permitted to fill the flow channel and flow freely into an inlet section.

Abstract: An automatic pistol is disclosed which is recoil-operated and has mechanical locking means. The locking action between the barrel casing and the breech member is effected by means of an amply dimensioned locking member pivotally supported within the breech member and participates in the movement thereof. Coupling means provided between the trigger lever and the striking lever are formed by crank-like means and are adapted to be controlled by corresponding control portions respectively provided on the trigger lever and the breech member or stock so that the striking lever will always move along the same distance whether the striking lever is manually cocked, cocked by the breech member, or cocked and released by pulling on the trigger. The disclosed pistol includes safety means and the pistol and safety means are operable easily and quickly with equal ease by both left-handers and right-handers.
