Abstract: A cassette tape recorder with mechanical soft touch operating mechanism which includes a base body with a push button holder or mechanism at one side thereof with a group of operating button levers which include a pause button lever, a play button lever and a fast/forward button lever, a rewind button lever, a record button lever and a stop button lever and includes four notched cam gears mounted in pairs with one of the cam gears coupled to the pause button lever another cam gear coupled to the fast/forward button lever and the first pair of cam gears mounted adjacent each other on the same shaft and adapted to separately engage a gear which is coaxial with a fly wheel that is rotated by a motor.
Abstract: A cassette tape recorder in which a fully automatic shut-off of the tape drive occurs whenever stopping of a winding reel shaft or a tape feed reel shaft is sensed and which is utilized to transmit through associated mechanism to shut-off the operation of the tape recorder. A felt disk which is mounted in a suitable lubricant and placed between a spring loaded means and a reel shaft operates in combination with sensing mechanism to effect shut-off of the tape recorder.
Abstract: A magnetic tape machine which has recording, rewind, playback, fast forward and stop keys and which is provided with a locking plate such that when the machine is in the playback mode and either the fast forward or rewind keys are depressed, the machine will go into the fast forward or rewind modes but will return to the playback mode when the fast forward or rewind keys are released.
Abstract: A magnetic tape machine wherein the switch-over operations of the machine are driven by the tape driving mechanism so as to allow a single drive motor to drive the tape as well as to provide power for switch-over operations. A starting plate is pivotally attached to the tape machine and a moving plate is mounted adjacent the starting plate with a first gear rotatably mounted on the tape machine and having a pair of cutout portions displaced 180.degree. from each other and a second gear and capstan driven by the main motor with the second gear engageable with the first gear to drive it 180.degree. each time the first and second gears engage such that the various plates, gears and idlers allow the single drive motor to drive the tape as well as to provide power for switch over operations.
Abstract: An automatic switch-off system for use in a cassette tape recorder. A tape feed shaft is axially supported at one end of an arm lever which has its rotating center at an axis of a relay gear for transmitting the driving power to the tape feed shaft. The tape feed shaft and an encircling hub are moved against the cassette case at the end of tape feeding or rewinding operation by the drawing force of the tape. This movement of the shaft urges the arm lever to release the tape running state by causing a lever to rotate and engage a pin on a pulley which supplies the driving power. This pin causes the lever to move laterally thus permitting a tape running set lever to disengage.
Abstract: A housing for a small compact tape reproducer and recorder made of synthetic resin material which utilizes a portion of the housing as a chassis for mounting the operating mechanism of the machine and wherein at least one side of the chassis is formed as a folded portion of one of the housing walls which connects with other sections of the housing and has at least one side surrounded by a vertical wall which also serves as a wall for other sections of the chassis.
