  • Patent number: 11352177
Abstract: A re-sealable container is disclosed having a lid, a body, an attachment mechanism, and a seal. The seal may extend from, or be attached to, the lid and engage at least a portion of the body, such as the side wall, including the body sealing surface and/or the lip. The engagement of the seal and body creates a seal that prevents the ingress of moisture and ambient conditions into an interior space of the body. The attachment mechanism may retain the lid in a seated, closed position on the body. The configuration of the seal and attachment mechanism accommodate a degree of error in the joining and placement of the lid and body while allowing for both the formation of a seal between the lid and body and the locking of the lid when the lid is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 11355404
Abstract: Mitigating surface damage of probe pads in preparation for direct bonding of a substrate is provided. Methods and layer structures prepare a semiconductor substrate for direct bonding processes by restoring a flat direct-bonding surface after disruption of probe pad surfaces during test probing. An example method fills a sequence of metals and oxides over the disrupted probe pad surfaces and builds out a dielectric surface and interconnects for hybrid bonding. The interconnects may be connected to the probe pads, and/or to other electrical contacts of the substrate. A layer structure is described for increasing the yield and reliability of the resulting direct bonding process. Another example process builds the probe pads on a next-to-last metallization layer and then applies a direct bonding dielectric layer and damascene process without increasing the count of mask layers.

  • Patent number: 11355837
Abstract: Accumulation of debris, snow, ice, wildlife, insects, and other contaminants adversely affect antennas that are mounted outdoors. An antenna comprises a housing and a removeable inflatable cover. The housing may include one or more engagement features, such as a perimeter channel into which perimeter of an opening of the covering is retained. The covering may be selectively inflated to produce a motion in the covering that displaces accumulated contaminants and discourages further accumulation. Heaters may warm air inside the covering to facilitate melting of ice. Inflation of the covering may be responsive to environmental conditions. For example, during high wind conditions, the covering may be evacuated and retained in a collapsed configuration to reduce damage.

  • Patent number: 11352269
Abstract: A conventional media filter such as a gravity sand filter is converted into a membrane filter. The media is removed and replaced by immersed membrane modules. Transmembrane pressure is created by a static head pressure differential, without a suction pump, thereby creating a membrane gravity filter (MGF). Preferred operating parameters include transmembrane pressure of 5-20 kPa, 1-3 backwashes per day, and a flux of 10-20 L/m2/h. The membranes are dosed with chlorine or another oxidant, preferably at 700 minutes*mg/L as Cl2 equivalent per week or less. The small oxidant does is believed to provide a porous biofilm or fouling layer without substantially removing the layer. The media filter may be modified so that backwash wastewater is removed from near the bottom of the tank rather than through backwash troughs above the membrane modules. Membrane integrity testing may be done while the tank is emptied after a backwash.

  • Patent number: 11351678
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for dynamically adjustable suction cups. In one embodiment, an example device may include a backplate, a gear coupled to the backplate and configured to move from a first position to a second position, a first suction cup segment having a first cavity, and a second suction cup segment disposed adjacent to the first suction cup segment, where a first portion of the second suction cup segment is disposed in the first cavity. Movement of the mechanical actuator from the first position to the second position may cause the first portion of the second suction cup segment to slide out of the first cavity, such that a surface area of a suction cup formed by the first suction cup segment and the second suction cup segment increases.

  • Patent number: 11354041
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a memory and a controller are provided which allow for reduction of latency and improve QoS for reads performed in memory locations such as multi-plane dies sharing a bus with the controller. When the controller receives a host read command, the controller sends a read sense command to a memory location to perform a read operation. The controller also sends a status polling command to the memory location to check die status. While the read operation is being performed, and while other read operations are being performed in other memory locations, the controller refrains from polling this memory location and the other memory locations for die status. Rather, the controller continuously toggles a read enable input to the memory location until the read operation is complete and the die status is ready, after which the controller receives data from the memory location.

  • Patent number: 11353520
Abstract: A chopping technique, and associated structure, is implemented to cancel the magnetic 1/f noise contribution in a Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) field sensor. The TMR field sensor includes a first bridge circuit including multiple TMR elements to sense a magnetic field and a second circuit to apply a bipolar current pulse adjacent to each TMR element. The current lines are serially or sequentially connected to a current source to receive the bipolar current pulse. The field sensor has an output including a high output and a low output in response to the bipolar pulse. This asymmetric response allows a chopping technique for 1/f noise reduction in the field sensor.

  • Patent number: 11354190
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for storing parity bits in an available over provisioning (OP) space to recover data lost from an entire memory block. For example, a data storage device may receive data from a host device, write the data to a block, and generate a corresponding block parity. The device may then determine a bit error rate (BER) of the block and an average programming duration to write the data written to the block, calculate a probability of the block becoming defective based on the BER and the average programming duration, and comparing the probability of the block to a set of probabilities respectively corresponding to a set of worst-performing blocks in a NVM. Thereafter, the device may write the block parity to an available over provisioning (OP) space in the NVM responsive to the probability of the block being greater than any probability in the set of probabilities.
