Abstract: In a semiconductor structure preparation method, the trench runs through a well region of a first conductivity type and extends to the substrate below the well region. A heavily doped first electrode layer is formed on the sidewall of the trench. The first electrode layer covers the bottom of the trench and extends into the well region. A capacitor dielectric layer is formed on the surface of the first electrode layer and the sidewall of the trench, and a second electrode layer is formed on the surface of the capacitor dielectric layer to fill the trench. A dielectric layer is formed on the sidewall of the through silicon via, and an interconnect structure is formed on the surface of the dielectric layer to fill the through silicon via.

Abstract: A scalable encoding architecture is able to support multiple encoder versions without requiring new versions of the architecture to be generated and supported for each encoder version. An encoding profile template can be generated that includes the available settings for an encoder. A versioned schema can be generated that defines the settings for a particular encoder version. The schema can be persisted such that when a new channel or media stream is to be generated, the schema can be loaded and its values validated in order to cause the encoder to encode the media content using the appropriate values. An interface presented to the user to generate the template or channel can be dynamically generated such that only the applicable and/or relevant settings for a particular encoder version are displayed.
Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) coordinate measurement device combines tracker and scanner functionality. The tracker function is configured to send light to a retroreflector and determine distance to the retroreflector based on the reflected light. The tracker is also configured to track the retroreflector as it moves, and to determine 3D coordinates of the retroreflector. The scanner is configured to send a beam of light to a point on an object surface and to determine 3D coordinate of the point. In addition, the scanner is configured to adjustably focus the beam of light.

The semiconductor substrate includes a first layer of semiconductor material having silicon (Si); and a second layer of semiconductor material having silicon germanium (Si1-xGex). A concentration x of Ge changes gradually through at least a portion of thickness of the second layer. Each photodiode includes a first doped region extending through the first layer of semiconductor material and the second layer of semiconductor material; and a second doped region extending through the first layer of semiconductor material and the second layer of semiconductor material.

A magnetic system includes quasi-dc coils axially positioned along the FRC system components, quasi-dc mirror coils between the confinement chamber and the formation sections, and mirror plugs between the formation sections and the divertors. The formation sections include modular pulsed power formation systems enabling static and dynamic formation and acceleration of the FRCs. The FRC system further includes neutral atom beam injectors, pellet or CT injectors, gettering systems, axial plasma guns and flux surface biasing electrodes. The beam injectors are preferably angled toward the midplane of the chamber.

Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a memory and a controller are provided which allow for reduction of current in open blocks during read operations using read voltage ramp rate control. The controller determines whether a block is open or closed. If the block is closed, the controller causes a read voltage to be applied to one of the block's word lines at a first ramp rate. If the block is open, the controller causes a read voltage to be applied to another of the block's word lines at a slower, second ramp rate. The controller further causes a read voltage to be applied to another word line of the open block at a different, third ramp rate. Thus, read voltages for open blocks may ramp slower than read voltages for closed blocks, as well as ramp at different rates for different word lines in open blocks.
Abstract: A stable towable submersible device includes a rigid body that is towed at a positive pitch angle relative to the device's direction of motion. An acoustic projector housing extends vertically from the rigid body. When the rigid body rolls about its roll axis, which is tilted at the positive pitch angle, the acoustic projector rolls about the roll axis changing the acoustic projector's angle of attack relative to the direction of motion and generates a restoring force causing the acoustic projector to rotate back to a generally vertical orientation.

Abstract: A tag coordinate determination method includes: generating a tag unit for placing a detection tag; setting the detection tag and the tag unit in an image of a photomask, and obtaining a tag position file of the image, the tag position file including position coordinates of the tag unit in the image; and acquiring position coordinates of a tag to be processed in the image according to the tag position file. The tag coordinate determination method can overcome to a certain extent the problem of manually capturing the coordinates being prone to errors, thereby improving accuracy of coordinate determination.
