Patent number: 9098833Abstract: This paper proposes a new method and architecture for populating, updating and managing the NAB. It also proposes user's Contact Information Discovery (CID). In context of populating the NAB; since the NAB of each individual subscriber will be stored in the network in future, the paper proposes CI to flow from one NAB to another NAB within the core network, instead of CI flowing from Device to Network. Thus with the user authorization, his CI would shoot from one NAB to another NAB within the core network instead of from LAB to NAB through air interface. It would reduce huge amount of data traffic on the air that otherwise would be generated in updating and populating the NAB by all the NAB users. In context of CID, the paper proposes a query-response mechanism and introduces a NAB Manager. The new architecture will provide several benefits for example it will eliminate the need of “Number Portability,” “United States National Do Not Call Registry” and “411 Directory Assistance.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2009Date of Patent: August 4, 2015Assignees: TOSHIBA AMERICA RESEARCH, INC., TELCORDIA TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventor: Raziq Yaqub

Publication number: 20150215235Abstract: Constraining resource provisioning by domain controllers based on resource requirements projected for remotely-originating inter-domain traffic can improve utilization efficiency and link reliability in multi-domain software defined network (SDN) architectures. A domain controller may be required to reserve a portion of inter-domain link capacity for transporting remotely-originating traffic. This may limit the inter-domain link capacity available for transporting locally-originating traffic in a manner that ensures remotely-originating traffic flows have equitable and/or adequate access to resources of inter-domain links. Alternatively, a domain controller may be required to maintain a minimum throughput rate for remotely-originating traffic, which may cause remotely-originating traffic to be prioritized over locally-originating traffic when necessary to maintain the minimum throughput rate. Provisioning constraints can be generated in a centralized or distributed fashion.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2014Publication date: July 30, 2015Applicant: FUTUREWEI TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Xu Li, Petar Djukic, Hang Zhang

Publication number: 20150212883Abstract: Techniques for efficiently programming non-volatile storage are disclosed. A second page of data may efficiently be programmed into memory cells that already store a first page. Data may be efficiently transferred from single bit cells to multi-bit cells. Memory cells are read using at least two different read levels. The results are compared to determine a count how many memory cells showed a different result between the two reads. If the count is less than a threshold, then data from the memory cells is stored into a set of data latches without attempting to correct for misreads. If the count is not less than the threshold, then data from the memory cells is stored into the set of data latches with attempting to correct for misreads. A programming operation may be performed based on the data stored in the set of data latches.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2015Publication date: July 30, 2015Applicant: SANDISK TECHNOLOGIES INC.Inventors: Wenzhou Chen, Zhenming Zhou, Jun Wan, Deepanshu Dutta, Yi-Chieh Chen, Dana Lee
