Abstract: The present invention relates to an output voltage feedback device for being used in a power supplying apparatus and a power supplying apparatus provided with the same. The power supplying apparatus provides electrical power via a wire set which includes a high level wire and a low level wire. The output voltage feedback device is provided with a voltage sensor and feedback unit for determining the voltage difference between the high level wire and the low level wire and the resultant measurement is transmitted back to the converter main body via the wire set in the form of a distinct electrical signal. The output voltage feedback device according to the invention can accurately determine the output voltage from the power supplying apparatus and, in case of occurring an output fault, interrupt the supply of power or enable an automatic compensation to reduce damage.

Abstract: A method for optical network signaling processing of a signal from a first node to an end node through intermediate nodes is presented. The method comprises determining, in a first pass from the first node to the end node, available wavelengths and wavelength conversion at each node, the end node optimizing wavelengths using the available wavelengths and wavelength conversions, at each node, dropping a cross-connect command, in a second pass from the end node to the first node, choosing wavelengths for connection based on the optimizing step, in a third pass from the first node to the end node, receiving at each node a signal message and releasing unused cross-connect commands, the end node identifying the chosen wavelengths and releasing the unused resources, and transmitting the signal on the chosen wavelengths. Restoration paths can also be determined. Optimizing can include selecting and marking one or more backup wavelengths.

Abstract: The subject invention pertains to a method and apparatus for cooling. In a specific embodiment, the subject invention relates to a lightweight, compact, reliable, and efficient cooling system. The subject system can provide heat stress relief to individuals operating under, for example, hazardous conditions, or in elevated temperatures, while wearing protective clothing. The subject invention also relates to a condenser for transferring heat from a refrigerant to an external fluid in thermal contact with the condenser. The subject condenser can have a heat transfer surface and can be designed for an external fluid, such as air, to flow across the heat transfer surface and allow the transfer of heat from heat transfer surface to the external fluid. In a specific embodiment, the flow of the external fluid is parallel to the heat transfer surface.

Abstract: Semiconductor memory devices having recessed access devices are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of forming the recessed access device includes forming a device recess in a substrate material that extends to a first depth in the substrate that includes a gate oxide layer in the recess. The device recess may be extended to a second depth that is greater that the first depth to form an extended portion of the device recess. A field oxide layer may be provided within an interior of the device recess that extends inwardly into the interior of the device recess and into the substrate. Active regions may be formed in the substrate that abut the field oxide layer, and a gate material may be deposited into the device recess.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a path request message for a new data flow is received at a network node. The path request message indicates resources needed to accommodate the new data flow. The resources needed to accommodate the new data flow are compared to an amount of available resources at the network node. Provided there are sufficient available resources at the network node to accommodate the new data flow, the resources needed to accommodate the new data flow are associated with a held resources state. Subsequently, a reservation request message is received at the network node. The reservation request message requests resources for the new data flow. A determination is made that the requested resources correspond to resources associated with the held resources state. The requested resources are removed from the held resources state and reserved for the new data flow.

Abstract: A system and method for enabling coordinated beam switching and scheduling in a wireless communications system. A method for controller operation includes indicating that the controller is operating in a cooperative beam switching mode, transmitting a beam formed reference signal (BFRS), from each communications device being served by the controller, receiving a measurement of a communications channel between the controller and the communications device and an indicator indicating a transmission unit corresponding to the measurement of the communications channel, receiving a transmission intended for a communications device, and causing the transmission to be transmitted to the communications device. The BFRS is beam formed using a plurality of beam patterns, the beam pattern used in beam forming the BFRS changes once per transmission unit, and the transmission is transmitted using measurement of the communications channel and the indicator from the communications device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a mask inspection apparatus and method capable of inspecting masks used in double patterning with satisfactory accuracy. Optical images of two masks are acquired (S100). The acquired optical images of the two masks are combined together (S102). Relative positional displacement amounts of patterns of the first mask and patterns of the second mask are measured at the combined image (S104). The measured relative positional displacement amounts are compared with standard values to thereby determine whether the two masks are good (S106).

Input pulses to the arrays are generally non-linear, frequency-modulated pulses. Frequency-steered acoustic arrays may be provided in one-dimensional linear and two dimensional planar and curvilinear configurations, may be operated as single order or multiple order arrays, may employ periodic or non-periodic transducer element spacing, and may be mechanically scanned to generate 2D and 3D volumetric data. Multiple imaging fields of view may generated in different directions by switching the polarity of phase-shifted array transducer elements. Multiple frequency-steered arrays arranged in an X-configuration provide a wide, contiguous field of view and multiple frequency steered arrays arranged in a T-configuration provide orthogonally oriented fields of view.

The photomask inspection method includes acquiring image data of a photomask having regions with different layer structures on a surface thereof, creating inverted image data by subtracting the image data from pixel value data of the regions, creating offset inverted image data by raising pixel values of the inverted image data by a fixed amount, creating normalized correlation image data by computing a normalized correlation of the offset inverted image data and an offset Gaussian distribution-type kernel, and identifying foreign particles by comparing the normalized correlation image data and a predetermined threshold.

The outer tubular member is composed of a first compound containing an olefin block copolymer and a styrene/ethylene-butylene/styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer. Abstract: A mechanism for decreasing the latency in an IP address assignment process for mobile systems using IP as network layer protocol is described. The proposed system is aimed at supporting seamless hand-offs for real-time applications like VOIP. A set of optimized messages is defined to eliminate the need for exchanging long DHCP messages to acquire an IP address. The mechanism involves splitting the IP address assignment functionality into two parts, with the base station being responsible for assigning IP addresses to individual end user devices, and the Mobile Switching Center assigning a block of IP addresses to each base station.

The first area is located toward the first direction and the second area is located toward the second direction. Abstract: A camera-enabled cell phone that is adapted to image a machine readable code such as a bar code, decode the bar code, send the bar code data over the Internet to a resolution server that will return an associated URL that will link the camera phone to content on an information server. Thus, by taking a picture of a bar code symbol, the camera phone will automatically retrieve content from the Internet that has been linked to that bar code.
