Abstract: Gradient coil assemblies for horizontal magnetic resonance imaging systems (MRIs) and methods of their manufacture. Some embodiments may be used with open MRIs and can be used with an instrument placed in the gap of the MRI. In general, concentrations of conductors or radially oriented conductors may be moved away from the gap of the MRI so as to reduce eddy currents that may be induced in any instrument placed within the gap. Systems for directly cooling primary gradient and shield coils may be utilized and various coil supporting structures may be used to assist in coil alignment or to facilitate use of an instrument in the MRI gap.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing constraint driven database searching. At least one constraint is received for a search of one or more databases comprising one or more datasets, each comprising multiple entry fields. The one or more databases comprising the one or more datasets may be accessed and searched based on the constraint to identify one or more dataset entries that contain the at least one constraint in one of multiple entry fields. A visual representation of the identified dataset entries may be provided to the user as results of the constraint driven database search. Additional constraints may be accepted to further narrow the results of constraint driven database search. The results may be exported and made accessible for later retrieval and/or cached for use in subsequent searches.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for multi-destination TCP communications using bit indexed explicit replication (BIER). In some examples, a system can generate a TCP packet associated with a TCP session involving a set of destination devices, and encode an array of bits into the TCP packet to yield a TCP multicast packet. The array of bits can define the destination devices as destinations for the multicast packet. The system can transmit the TCP multicast packet towards the destination devices through a BIER domain. The system can receive acknowledgements from a first subset of the destination devices. Based on the acknowledgements, the system can determine that the first subset of the destination devices received the multicast packet and a second subset of the destination devices did not receive the multicast packet. The system can then retransmit the multicast packet to the second subset of the destination devices.

Abstract: An oil recovery process includes recovering an oil-water mixture from an oil-bearing formation and separating the produced water from the oil-water mixture. The produced water includes dissolved gases and the method includes heating and pressurizing the produced water. After the produced water is heated and pressurized, it is flash vaporized through a lesser pressure which produces a vapor and residual produced water. The flash vaporization of the produced water evaporates dissolved gases and the dissolved gases are vented away with the vapor.
