Abstract: A device for switching data channel signal lines of each of a number of data channels through modules having interconnection switching matrices, to a further device adapted to monitor the signal lines, including a module decoder for selective activation of each module, and series connections between the respective module decoders wherein a decoder may activate a module as a function of its series-connected position relative to other decoders.

Abstract: A method of monitoring signal lines on a computer data channel, and copying the respective data transmissions which occur in time sequence into a memory in space sequence corresponding to the time sequence, includes recognizing particular data channel signals, and includes displaying selected portions of the recorded tabulations of data transmissions, which portions include the data transmissions bounded about the recognized particular data transmission.

Abstract: An analog-to-digital converter circuit having an interface and control logic for access and control by a computer processor. The converter has a total of eleven analog voltages coupled to its inputs, three of which are selectable by the computer processor each time the converter is activated. The remaining eight analog voltages may be addressably selected by the computer processor, to enable any single analog voltage to be converted and transferred to the processor during each conversion cycle.

Abstract: A channel analyzer system has circuits for passive coupling to individual signal lines on a computer data channel, and for monitoring the data passed thereover, with logic circuits having preselectable capability for recognizing transmitted data of interest for further analysis. The system further includes a large storage capability for retaining preselected amounts of data, examining blocks of data so collected and recorded, labeling data samples with an identifier; displaying selected portions of the samples, including representative values signifying the data content and preselected signal line changes of interest, data channel activity prior to and subsequent to the preselected signal line event which is of interest; and displaying the same for providing a visualized summary of activity of a computer channel according to the protocols defined for the channel activity.
