Abstract: A calibration apparatus in a wavelength division multiplexing system includes a sending module configured to send a first detection signal to a first multiplexing device; a receiving module configured to receive the first detection signal that passes through the first multiplexing device, and receive a second detection signal that passes through the first multiplexing device and a second multiplexing device; and a processing module configured to adjust a center frequency of the first detection signal, so that an adjusted center frequency of the first detection signal is aligned with a center frequency of the first multiplexing device, and adjust a center frequency of the second detection signal and the center frequency of the first multiplexing device, so that the center frequency of the first multiplexing device is aligned with the center frequency of the second detection signal.
Abstract: A liquid crystal phase shifter is provided, and includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposite to each other, and a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes a first base plate and a first electrode layer at a side of the first base plate proximal to the liquid crystal layer. The second substrate includes a second base plate and a second electrode layer at a side of the second base plate proximal to the liquid crystal layer. The first electrode layer includes a main body structure having a first side and a second side opposite to each other with respect to a length direction of the main body structure, and a plurality of branch structures connected to at least one of the first side and the second side of the main body structure.
Abstract: A method or apparatus to improve sleep aid efficacy is described. The method comprises monitoring the sleeping patterns of a user utilizing a non-intrusive sleep monitoring device. The method further correlates the user's sleep quality and sleep quantity with use of the sleep aid. In one embodiment, the method adjusts the sleep aid based on the sleep statistics.

Abstract: This invention provides preparations, compositions, products, and applications of photo-crosslinked hydrogels. Component A—a photosensitive polymer derivative, component B—the photoinitiator, and auxiliary component C—other biocompatible polymer derivative each are respectively dissolved in a biocompatible medium to obtain solution A, solution B, and solution C. The solution A, the solution B, and the optional solution C are mixed homogenously to obtain a hydrogel precursor solution. The hydrogel precursor solution is subject to irradiation of the UV light for photocoupled crosslinking to form a photo-crosslinked hydrogel. The photo-crosslinked hydrogel exhibit rapid speed of photo-curing, strong tissue adhesion, excellent mechanical properties, good biocompatibility, and excellent clinical operability.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display panel, a method for manufacturing the same and a display device. The display panel includes a substrate and a plurality of pixels provided on the substrate, each of the pixels includes a display region and a transparent region, a light emitting device is provided in the display region, the display panel further includes a polarization layer provided in the display region and the transparent region, and at a light exiting side of the light emitting device departing from the substrate, a portion of the polarization layer located in the display region is configured to absorb external environment light, and another portion of the polarization layer located in the transparent region is configured to transmit the external environment light.
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for encoding and decoding digital video using historical information containing coding candidates are described. In a representative aspect, a method for video processing includes maintaining one or more tables of motion candidates during a conversion between a current video block and a bitstream representation of a video including the current video block, determining that the current video block is coded using a merge mode or an Advanced Motion Vector Prediction (AMVP) mode, and performing, based on the determining, the conversion between the current video block of and the bitstream representation of the video using one or more tables of motion candidates.

Abstract: A method and a device for obstacle or ground recognition and flight control, and an aircraft. The method for obstacle or ground recognition includes: determining point cloud data of a region in front of an aircraft; dividing the region in front into several subareas, determining an altitude of each of the subregions based on the point cloud data in each of the subregions; performing linear fitting on the altitudes of the several subregions, and determining whether an obstacle and/or ground is present in the front region according to the fitting result.
Abstract: System and method embodiments are provided to achieve efficient Direct Mobile Communications (DMC) and device-to-device (D2D) communications for terminal based groups with improved spectrum efficiency, reduced interference, and virtual full duplex operation mode. The embodiments include a distributed mechanism for D2D communications that enables one or more cooperating UEs (CUEs) to help one or more target UEs (TUEs) with limited additional signaling overhead and relatively simple implementation. The mechanism comprises a grantless multi-dimensional multiplexing scheme that uses low density spreading (LDS) over time, frequency, and/or space domains to enable data forwarding between multiple half-duplex terminals or UEs while allowing the UEs to operate in virtual full-duplex mode.

Abstract: A flexible display panel and a preparation method thereof are provided. A composite substrate structure composed of a first polyimide layer, a water-oxygen barrier layer, a protective layer, and a second polyimide layer is prepared, and the protective layer covers a partial lateral side of the second polyimide layer in a non-display area and a lateral side of the water-oxygen barrier layer in the non-display area. Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture configured to operate an aerial vehicle are provided. Various embodiments may be implemented with an aerial vehicle. In one exemplary implementation, a method of operating an aerial vehicle may include identifying, from image data, a set of predetermined features based on one or more invariant properties associated with the predetermined features. The predetermined features may be associated with predetermined physical locations. Based on the image locations of the predetermined features within the image data and the predetermined physical locations of the predetermined features, a system may be configured to determine at least one of a location and an orientation of the aerial vehicle. The disclosed embodiments may provide enhanced accuracy, usability, and robustness in tracking the location and orientation of an aerial vehicle under various operation conditions.
