    Abstract: The invention is a method of obtaining tomographic images of the human body and the electrical impedance tomograph, in which a source of electric current is used to send electric current at levels undetectable by a human being to pairs of electrodes, between which at least two electrodes are placed. An algorithm of image reconstruction makes it possible to obtain the distribution of absolute conductivity of a body, characterizing the state of soft and bone tissues and blood vessels. The method is fast. It allows one to visualize the changes of conductivity during one cardiocycle and to observe blood filling the heart and vessels. It allows one to obtain time dependence of conductivity of internal areas of the heart, which is an impedance cardiogram, containing additional information about heart function.
