  • Patent number: 11743513
Abstract: Origin offload is a key performance indicator of a content delivery network (CDN). This patent document presents unique methods and systems for measuring origin offload and applying those measurements to improve the offload. The techniques presented herein enable resource-efficient measurement of origin offload by individual servers and aggregation and analysis of such measurements to produce significant insights. The teachings hereof can be used to better identify root causes of suboptimal offload performance, to tune CDN settings and configurations, and to modify network operations, deployment and/or capacity planning. In addition, discussed herein are improved metrics showing offload in relation to the maximum achievable offload for the particular traffic being served.

  • Patent number: 11742309
Abstract: Improved bump coplanarity for semiconductor device assemblies, and associated methods and systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, when openings in a passivation layer of a semiconductor device are formed to expose surfaces of bond pads, additional openings may also be formed in the passivation layer. The additional openings may have depths shallower than the openings extending to the surfaces of bond pads by leveraging partial exposures to the passivation layer using a leaky chrome process. Subsequently, when active bumps (pillars) are formed on the exposed surfaces of bond pads, dummy bumps (pillars) may be formed on recessed surfaces of the additional openings such that differences in heights above the surface of the passivation between the active bumps and the dummy bumps are reduced to improve coplanarity.

  • Patent number: 11741969
Abstract: Techniques for improving a natural language processing (NLP) system by providing controlled access to event data to third party systems. For example, the system may control access to event data in a secured way that allows for expanded functionality such as at home games using existing sensors/devices. The system may generate event data using sensor data received from the devices and may enable a customer to configure which devices/sensors a third party system is allowed to access. In addition, the system may only send event data after receiving permission from the customer, such as upon receiving a command to begin a game. The third party system may use the event data to provide additional functionality to the customer during a period of time, which ends at the conclusion of the game, a command from the user to end the game, and/or after a timeout even occurs.

  • Patent number: 11737693
Abstract: An apparatus includes a pre-sample reservoir, a diversion mechanism, and a flow metering mechanism. The diversion mechanism has an inlet port couplable to a lumen-defining device to receive bodily-fluids from a patient, a first outlet port fluidically couplable to the pre-sample reservoir, and a second outlet port fluidically couplable to a sample reservoir. The diversion mechanism defines a first fluid flow path and a second flow path that are configured to place the first outlet port and the second outlet port, respectively, in fluid communication with the inlet port. The flow metering mechanism is configured to meter a flow of a predetermined volume of bodily-fluid through the first fluid flow path into the pre-sample reservoir, to meter a flow of a second volume of bodily-fluid through the second fluid flow path into the sample reservoir, and to display a volumetric indicator associated with the predetermined volume and the second volume.

  • Patent number: 11743067
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a first edge node, an Internet Protocol (IP) multicast address of a first silent host node. The method further includes receiving, at a second edge node, an IP multicast address of a second silent host node. The IP multicast address of the first silent host node is equal to the IP multicast address of the second silent host node. The method further includes storing the IP multicast address of the first and second silent host node in a shared entry of a routing table. The method further includes receiving, at a third edge node, a packet from a third host node and determining that a destination address of the packet corresponds to the IP multicast address stored in the shared entry of the routing table. The method further includes sending the packet to both the first host node and the second host node.

  • Patent number: 11741195
Abstract: Techniques for easy and secure deployment of a software package from a server to a customer-controlled computing device are described. In an embodiment, a deployment engine running on a server can be used to generate a unique URL for deployment of the software package. The unique URL may include a restricted use token. The restricted use token may be generated based on a combination of a random selection of one or more dictionary words, numbers, and/or symbols. The restricted token is easily readable given the combination of dictionary words, numbers, and/or symbols that make up the restricted use token. The unique URL may then be entered into a customer-controlled computing device via a curl command. The curl command will use the unique URL to generate a secure channel to the deployment engine and automatically download the software package onto the customer-controlled computing device.

  • Patent number: 11740814
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for quick activate for memory sensing are described. An operating mode that is associated with a command sequence having a reduced duration relative to another operating mode may be configured at a memory device. The operating mode may be configured based on determining that a testing procedure does not attempt to preserve or is independent of preserving a logic state of accessed memory cells, among other conditions. While operating in the mode, the memory device may perform a received activate command using a first set of operations having a first duration—rather than a second set of operations having a second set of operations having a second, longer duration—to perform the received activate command. The first set of operations may also use less current or introduce less disturbance into the memory device relative to the second set of operations.
