Abstract: A fastener driver includes a drive blade movable from a retracted position to a driven position for driving a fastener into a work piece. The fastener driver further includes a gas spring mechanism for driving the drive blade from the retracted position to the driven position. The gas spring mechanism is moveable between a retracted state and a driven state. The fastener driver further includes a first return mechanism for moving the drive blade from the driven position toward the retracted position, and a second return mechanism for returning the gas spring mechanism toward the retracted state separately from movement of the drive blade.
Abstract: A coupler includes a collar defining a member receiving passage. First and second lobes extend outwardly from the collar. The first lobe includes a lobe ramp surface, a cylindrical projection extending from the first lobe and radially surrounding the lobe ramp surface, and a gear extending from the cylindrical portion. A passage is defined in the first and second lobes and has a first axis. A lever arm is rotatable about the first axis. The lever arm includes a lever ramp surface. A pawl arm is movably connected to the lever arm. The pawl arm includes a portion biased into engagement with the gear teeth. A fastener extends through the passage and couples the lever arm to the first lobe so the lever ramp surface cams with the lobe ramp surface. Rotation of the lever arm in a first direction brings the first and second lobes toward each other.
Abstract: A digging apparatus (10, 300) is disclosed. The digging apparatus (10,300) includes a handle assembly (14, 14a, 314), a motor (32), a main switch (22, 322) electrically connected with the motor (32). The main switch (22,322) is movable between a first position in which operation of the motor (32) is allowed and a second position in which operation of the motor (32) is prevented, and a drilling bit (88, 88a, 388) is driven by the motor (32).

Abstract: A compact multi-material cut-off tool includes a housing, and an arbor rotatably supported by the housing upon which a cutting disk is attachable for co-rotation therewith. A motor is coupled to the arbor to provide torque thereto. A controller is operable to selectively drive the motor in a first rotational direction and an opposite, second rotational direction. A first lighting element is coupled to a first portion of the housing, and a second lighting element is coupled to a second portion of the housing. One of the first lighting element and the second lighting element is configured to be activated by the controller in response to the motor being driven in the first rotational direction. The other of the first lighting element and the second lighting element is configured to be activated by the controller in response to the motor being driven in the second rotational direction.

Abstract: A battery pack (20), which includes: a housing; a frame disposed inside the housing; and two or more cells (32) mounted to the frame. The two or more cells (32) are connected with each other through a configurable connector (52). The configurable connector (52) is suitable to connect or disconnect an electrical connection between the two or more cells (32). Wherein the configurable connector (52) includes a user contactable switch (22) located on an outer surface (21) of the housing. The user contactable switch (22) is configured to move within a plane parallel to the outer surface (21), such that the contactable connector (52) is switched between a first state and a second state. In the first state, the electrical connection exists between the two or more cells (32); in the second state, the electrical connection does not exist between the two or more cells (32).
