Patents Assigned to Teck Resources Limited
  • Publication number: 20250190908
Abstract: Mine sites are known to include a variety of vehicles of various different types and ages. Such a variety increase the difficulty of the dispatcher's job of allocating the vehicles in a manner that optimizes production of material. In particular, different vehicles and different operators may be shown to handle route conditions, such as grade and curvature, at different speeds. A truck allocation system is able to provide suggestions for vehicle allocation based on the vehicles operating parameters and route geometry. Ideally, implementation of the suggestions for vehicle allocation act to increase production.

  • Publication number: 20250162592
Abstract: A road quality monitoring system is able to identify and display to end users, e.g. dispatchers and supervisors, road segments that are in need of repair. Each road segment may be given a road quality score based on suspension loading data, such as strut pressure data, from trucks traversing the road segment or by launch velocity data from trucks leaving a mine site, such as a shovel or a dumping zone.

  • Publication number: 20250122023
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, devices, and systems for facilitating movement of material in at least one stockpile, for example to minimize variability and/or ensure a target level of one or more constituents of a product comprising material obtained from at least one stockpile. At least one computing device may receive pickup signal(s) indicating a plurality of pickup events associated with respective portions of the material. In response, the computing device may identify respective locations of the pickup events. At least one property of the material associated with the pickup events may be estimated. In response, the computing device may associate estimations of the at least one property with respective regions of the material associated with the pickup events. In response, the computing device may transmit respective locations of future pickup events. The computing device, in response, may receive future pickup signal(s) indicating the future pickup events.

  • Patent number: 10947137
Abstract: A process for treating mine impacted water containing one or more reduced selenium species by an advanced oxidation process (AOP) including ozone and ultraviolet light, or ozone and hydrogen peroxide is disclosed. The process oxidizes the one or more reduced selenium species to selenate and thereby produces AOP treated water. Residual oxidants are removed from the AOP treated water.

  • Patent number: 9624560
Abstract: A process for recovering copper from heap leach residues, the process comprising treating heap leach residues to provide treated heap leach residues providing improved permeability of a heap of the treated heap leach residues, and leaching the heap of the treated heap leach residues with a leaching solution. Treating the heap leach residues includes: a) blending the heap leach residues with additional material to provide a blend; or b) agglomerating the heap leach residues; or c) both blending the heap leach residues with additional material and agglomerating.

  • Patent number: 9410225
Abstract: A process for the extraction of copper from a feed material comprising at least one of arsenic and antimony-bearing copper sulphide minerals is provided. The process includes fine-grinding the feed material and after fine-grinding, subjecting the feed material to pressure oxidation in the presence of surfactant and a halogen to produce a product slurry. The process also includes subjecting the product slurry to liquid/solid separation to obtain a pressure oxidation filtrate and solids comprising at least one of a compound of arsenic and a compound of antimony, and recovering copper from the pressure oxidation filtrate.
