Abstract: A keeping cage for laboratory animals, specifically rodents, is characterized in that it provides for a large floor surface on several levels, the transit of animals from one level to the higher or lower level being ensured by the presence of appropriate openings in the partitioning floors. The keeping cage allows for the provision of a space available to animals, which is sufficiently large in terms of floor surface and in terms of height between the floors to ensure a good level of wellbeing for the animals, which do not therefore suffer from behavioral disturbances. Cage for keeping laboratory animals, specifically adapted to keep laboratory animals, particularly rodents, including a base body to which an openable lid is connected, characterized in that the lid features a port for accessing the inside without removing the lid.
Abstract: A closure system for a cage containing laboratory animals, where in an upper edge of the base of the cage an U-shaped housing towards the outside of the edge hosts a gasket having a lip projecting out of the upper edge, and s bending in contact with a side rim of the top, the side rim overlapping the upper edge, and comprising at least two latches, connected on one side to the base, and having a bending line with a smaller thickness, and a projecting hook at the opposite side, to be restrained in a slot in the top, so that in operation the latch bends in the bending line and the projecting hook can be engaged to or disengaged from the slot.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a ventilated shelving storage system for housing laboratory animals. The ventilated shelving storage system according to the present invention is of the type suitable for being connected to the centralised air circulation system of a building, or of the room where the shelving storage system is located, while at the same time each shelving storage unit is designed to have its own filter unit comprising at least one antiparticulate filter. Another object of the present invention is a system of shelving storage units in series suitable for being connected to a centralised air circulation system and comprising an antiparticulate filter unit.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated system for the distribution of substances to animal containment devices in an animal housing facility. The present invention also relates to a dosing device of substances, such as solid or liquid feed, which is part of said system, and to the method for dispensing feed implemented by said system. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a method for automated dispensing of substances to animal containment devices in an animal housing facility.
Abstract: A basin including: a front housing compartment (1) in which there is a lower point (3) for collecting the organic material to be removed; an equipment compartment (4) at the back of the basin, connected to the housing compartment; a drainage device, in the equipment compartment (4), which includes an “overflow” pipe (6) fixed to a siphon (7); the drainage device being capable of moving down in order to operate the siphon (7); and, a partition (8) between the housing compartment (1) and the equipment compartment (4), the partition being capable of keeping the animals inside the housing compartment and letting the water pass into the equipment compartment.
Abstract: A device for lifting and moving shelves, in particular shelves for cages for laboratory animals, said device comprising: means for lifting at least one shelf, and for keeping it lifted from the ground; moving means to allow displacement of the device in the presence of a shelf lifted from the ground, along at least one direction. Structure comprising several devices as described above, engaged with a driving system to allow translation along a common direction.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for changing laboratory animal cages wherein the apparatus includes at least one seat, preferably at least two seats, each of which receives a cage having a lid. The seat is provided with means for picking and lifting the lid.

Abstract: It is described a cage for the containment of laboratory animals, to be positioned in a suitable shelving system, comprising: a cage basin; a cover in turn comprising a lower basin, able to be in contact with the cage basin, and a closing top, the lower basin and the closing top defining an internal empty space; one or more inlet openings in the lower basin, wherefrom external air can come inside the cage basin; one or more intermediate apertures in the lower basin, for the entrance of air inside the internal empty space of the cover; one or more outlet apertures in the rear side of the cover, for the exit of exhaust air.
Abstract: This invention relates to a basin capable of containing aquatic animals—especially experimental animals—which comprises: a front housing compartment (1) in which there is a lower point (3) for collecting the organic material to be removed; an equipment compartment (4) at the back of the basin, connected to said housing compartment; a drainage device, in said equipment compartment (4), which comprises an “overflow” pipe (6) fixed to a siphon (7); said drainage device being capable of moving down in order to operate said siphon (7); a partition (8) between said housing compartment (1) and said equipment compartment (4), said partition being capable of keeping the animals inside the housing compartment and letting the water pass into the equipment compartment.
