  • Patent number: 7299844
Abstract: A device for producing heavy gas-filled insulating glass sheets (62, 64, 60) has two plates (4, 6), between which the insulating glass sheet (62, 64, 60) which is to be filled can be located. On the vertical edges of the plates (4, 6) there are sealing devices (12) to seal the space (10) between the plates (4, 6). On the lower edge of the plates (4, 6) there are a conveyor means (40) for insulating glass and a channel (44) for the supply of heavy gas into the space (10) between the plates (4, 6) and into the interior (60) of the insulating glass sheets (62, 64, 60). In one of the plates (4, 6) there is a seal (20) which extends solely transversely to the plane of the plate (4) from bottom to top essentially vertically and which is located for example in the (lengthwise) middle of the plate (4).

  • Patent number: 7059224
Abstract: A blade is used to cut through a film between the panes of laminated glass in the area of a gap produced in the laminated glass the blade is provided on a holding device and can move along the gap. The holding device includes swiveling carrier on which there is a holding part for the blade with a vertical adjustment capacity. The blade is first placed next to the gap on the top of the top pane of the laminated glass. The vertical alignment of the blade is ascertained with a rule for determining the thickness of the laminated glass. Then the holding device is adjusted by a motor such that the blade falls into the gap. When a sufficient immersion depth of the blade into the gap is ascertained via the rule, the film is cut.

  • Publication number: 20040213659
Abstract: In order to allow a glass plate (26) to fall over out of the position which is tilted somewhat to the vertical into an essentially horizontal position, the glass pane (26) standing up with its lower edge (28) on the conveyor device (22) and with its upper edge (29) resting against a support member (40) with rollers (44) is moved into the initial position. By moving the support member (40) away from the upper edge (29) of the glass pane (26) it is allowed to fall down to the rear so that it comes to rest on the support surface of the table (2). From this support surface which can be made as an air cushion or as a span with transport belts or rollers, a glass pane (26) which points up with its “nicer” side (27) can be delivered to further treatment, for example to a downstream device (18).
