  • Patent number: 8444792
Abstract: Method of manufacturing aerogenerator blades that avoids or reduces some formation deficiencies existing in the traditional methods of manufacturing aerogenerator blades. The method comprises: positioning at least one support plate (2) on a plug (3) corresponding to a predetermined shape of at least a portion of the blade; removably fixing the support plate (2) to the plug (3); stacking a plurality of layers (1) of at least one material over the support plate (2); stitching the plurality of layers (1) to the support plate (2); displacing the plurality of layers (1) stitched to the support plate (2) into a mold (4), the mold (4) having a shape corresponding to the counter shape of the plug (3).

  • Publication number: 20110008147
Abstract: Method and apparatus for handling aerogenerator blades that provide a versatile means for handling aerogenerator blades without an unbalanced distribution of the loads in the blade. The method comprises positioning an upper mounting part (103) over the blade after the upper mould has been retracted; lifting the blade with the upper mounting part from the under mould using a lifting means; positioning the blade over an under mounting part (104) which is fixedly attached to an inferior movable support (102); attaching the upper mounting part to the under mounting part, wherein the upper and under mounting parts together have the inner surface substantially corresponding to the shape of the blade outer profile section. The invention further comprises an apparatus for handling aerogenerator blades.

  • Publication number: 20090081047
Abstract: The objective of this invention is to obtain rotor blades for large-sized horizontal axis wind turbines that allow easy transport, handling and storage at the same time guaranteeing greater efficiency in the use of wind energy. The present invention results in a blade (4) made up of two or more elements (5,6,9) arranged collaterally and preferably fixed among themselves such as to cause an aerodynamic interference between said elements.

  • Publication number: 20090020445
Abstract: The present invention consists of a packing device for logistics of groups of wind turbine rotor blades, preferably of pairs of blades, including at least two structures (2), each one having a peripheral frame (4). For guaranteeing the proper conditions for the logistics, said blades are supported and fastened to the structures by flexible belts (7,8) stressed by ratchets, being said blade profile partially or entirely enveloped by said flexible belts. And alternatively, the device for logistics of groups of wind turbine rotor blades may include tip protection cover (13), blades fastening device (14), such as belts, ropes or chains, and protecting devices (12) on areas of contact between the blades to prevent the friction.
