Abstract: An infusion chamber has a top perimeter cover that defines an aperture to pass air to an air vent and receive fluid from fluid outlets. The infusion chamber has an outer chamber and an inner chamber positioned within the outer chamber, where the spacing between the outer chamber and the inner chamber defines a void. An air manifold is positioned at the base of the inner chamber. The air manifold includes air inlet channels, air exit channels and an interior solids filter. The infusion chamber also has a base housing positioned at the bottom of the infusion chamber, and a plunger positioned in the base housing to selectively evict liquid from the inner chamber.

Abstract: A server has a processor a memory connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions executed by the processor to maintain a recipe database including a genus characterization of an infusible material and species of infusible materials within the genus characterization. Each species of infusible material has an associated recipe specifying infusible material course treatments. Each infusible material course treatment includes at least one set of fluid agitation parameters, at least one wait interval, at least on set of liquid injection parameters and a release parameter.

Abstract: Various embodiments of an apparatus and method of multi-course infusion for brewing tea and other beverages are provided. In one aspect, a method of multi-course infusion for brewing tea and other beverages may receive, in an infusion chamber of an apparatus, an amount of beverage medium in dried state. The method may also provide steam into the infusion chamber to pre-condition the beverage medium. The method may further perform multi-course infusion of the beverage medium in hot water by repeating more than once a process that includes: showering hot water down onto the beverage medium in the infusion chamber, infusing the beverage medium in the hot water for some infusion time to form the beverage, providing steam into the infusion chamber while the beverage medium is infused in the hot water, drawing the beverage into one or more carafes after the infusion time has elapsed.
