Publication number: 20060083905Abstract: A counterfeit-proof metal foil is textured in at least a given partial area of its surface, this partial area having a radiation refraction value which is different compared to the remaining surface area. The metal foil is suitable as a packaging material, among others for medications. The manufacturer or the consumer can check based on the given surface structure which is intended as an identification sign whether he has acquired an uncounterfeited product. If texturing takes place on most of the surface of the metal foil, this is identical to the appearance of a printed picture so that the metal foil as claimed in the invention is likewise used as a decorative foil or an advertizing medium.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 25, 2005Publication date: April 20, 2006Applicant: TEICH AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Engelbert Scharner, Helmut Kloss, Adolf Schedl, Wilhelm Zuser, Lambert Nekula

Patent number: 6200663Abstract: The present invention pertains to a packaging element comprising a supporting material fitted, on its face turned opposite the package, with a layer presenting a marking area and, on its face turned to the package, with a rough surface coating. The coating roughness has a depth of 1 to 100 &mgr;m, which can be obtained by using granulous filling material. The rough surface packaging element is suited as a covering element, including for yoghurt, as well as in the production of labels for bottle finishes.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1998Date of Patent: March 13, 2001Assignee: Teich AktiengesellschaftInventors: Wilhelm Zuser, Lambert Nekula, Franz Reiterer

Patent number: 5671882Abstract: A piece of goods to be packaged is wrapped in a wrapping sheet of flexible packaging material made of two different layers or laminated composite materials. Two overlapping marginal areas of the packaging material are sealed or glued together to form the bottom of the package. The layer or laminated composite material that faces the packaged goods within the top marginal area of packaging material has one or several cut-outs, through which both overlapping marginal areas of packaging material are interconnected.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 1995Date of Patent: September 30, 1997Assignee: Teich AktiengesellschaftInventors: Herbert Cerwinski, Andreas Niederer

Patent number: 5582342Abstract: In a package, especially a pouch package, with a covering made of a flat foldable packaging material in which the inner sides of two strip-like edge regions are sealed together in a joining region to form the covering, there is a strip-like tear region in the package covering which starts from one of the two strip-like edge regions, extends substantially prependicularly thereto and has notches or linear punched-out regions only within the strip-like edge region. Here, at the beginning of the rear region between the two strip-like edge regions, there is a tab of flat material which is firmly secured to the edge region from which the tear region starts and is secured detachably or not at all to the other edge region, while the remainder of the flat of the tab projects beyond the edge of the edge region.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1995Date of Patent: December 10, 1996Assignee: Teich AktiengesellschaftInventor: Wilfried Jud

Patent number: 5470015Abstract: A tubular pouch is provided with a tear-open strip which begins at a U-shaped perforation formed in one of two edge strips of the pouch which are joined across a junction area by cold-sealing into tubular pouch fins. The U-shaped perforation defines a grip formed by the wrapping material inside it and includes legs extending toward and entering the junction area. However, in its remaining portion, the U-shaped perforation does not reach as far as the junction area and thereby manufacturing tolerances relating to the U-shaped perforation and the relief cold bondings as well as lateral shifts between the two edge strips cannot result in bonding of the grip. When the grip is pulled to open the wrap, the wrapping material tears from the ends of the perforation along approximately parallel lines. The grip can be advantageously folded over 180.degree. in order to be readily grasped.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1995Date of Patent: November 28, 1995Assignee: Teich AktiengesellschaftInventor: Wilfried Jud

Patent number: 5348400Abstract: The invention concerns a tube-pouch wrap comprising a fin 2 within which two strip edges 3 of the wrapping material are joined together at their inner sides by a peelable cold seal, the junction area including one sub-section 4 at each end of the two edge strips 3 and an unsealed middle zone 5 being present between said subsections. An adhesive label 6 is folded about the fin edge 8 to connect the two edge strips 3 of the fin to close the wrap hermetically and to serve as an opening accessory, said adhesive label covering the middle zone 5 and overlapping the two sub-sections of the fin 2 by bonding to the fin surface. At one side of the fin, the adhesive label 6 comprises a strip edge 11 forming a grip 12 unbonded to the fin surface. Advantageously the fin 2 is so folded on the wrap envelope 13 and bonded to it that the grip 12 is uppermost.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1993Date of Patent: September 20, 1994Assignee: Teich AktiengesellschaftInventors: Manfred Haiss, Wilfried Jud

Patent number: 4917247Abstract: In an easy-to-open chocolate package, the wrapper has two areas (2, 3,23', 24') where the packing material is folded in two, made of two layers of packing material sealed together by their inner side, lying on an essentially even upper surface of the wrapper and laterally enclosing a tearing up zone (18, 26) of the wrapper, so that when the package is torn open the wrapper is opened up in these areas. In an embodiment as a cylindrical bag, the tearing up zones (18, 26) extend until the free edge (11, 11') of a fin (10, 10') by which the tearing up zone (18, 26) is held when tearing the package open. These areas (2, 3) where the packing material is folded in two preferably take the form of folds, one flank of which is provided with a break line (4) of the packing material, along which the material is torn when the package is opened.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1988Date of Patent: April 17, 1990Assignee: Teich AGInventor: Wilfried Jud

Patent number: 4826011Abstract: Gas-sealed pack for receiving pieces of a material such as chocolate tablettes. It consists of an envelope (9) of a flat and foldable material, having two edge regions (6, 6') inside which is located a detachable joining strip (7) to provide a sealed closure, preferably by cold sealing. These edge regions are folded back onto the upper surface of the envelope (9). The outside of the edge region (6'), which is applied to the top surface of the envelope (9), is linked at least on part of its surface with the surface of the envelope (9) preferably by means of a hot melting adhesive. The other edge region (6), which is not connected to the upper surface of the envelope (9), does not extend as far as the joining strip (7). A fold (3) is preferably arranged on this edge. The inner surfaces of the envelope are joined by cold sealing. Thus the pack is preferably designed in a tubular shape.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1987Date of Patent: May 2, 1989Assignee: Folienwalzwerk Bruder Teich AGInventor: Wilfried Jud
