  • Device for repairing metal-stamping dies

    Abstract: A metal mold repair tool is provided for leveling the work surface of stamping dies used in metal forming operations. The repair tool includes a pair of guides disposed on opposite lateral sides of a rotary finisher to precisely position the finisher with respect to the work surface. The rotary finisher is preferably driven by a conventional drive motor. The finisher and guides are vertically displaceable relative to each other, such that the position of the finisher relative to the work surface can be adjusted as desired.
